It's raw! That thing is engineered nicely! Proof is in the pudding! U dont have to be a traxxas fan to know a well built rc! The price is deeper than the surface always! I am a short course fan myself & this is definitely a mean @$$ rc! A true turn on for me!👀💪💥

4s Mojave will parachute to with a 6s system in it. The regular Mojave will to actually but it has more weight with the metal chassis so it won't be as bad.

Was wondering about the parachuting characteristics so thanks for the bonus footage!. Apparently the holes Traxxas put in the body does the job! BTW, what do you think of Traxxas approach to covering the center drive shaft as opposed to Arrma's open design?

I started this hobby with HPI savage SS nitro gas monster truck then I switched to traxxas as they seemed to have more attractive look and finely made despite of the huge amount of plastic as compared to any other competitors. Soon I realized that traxxas just focus on look and design more than quality and performance, this appears with all products having same charts characteristics and speed gears and same blue bars etc.. I would love to see one new RC from traxxas that is flawless before I pay $700 for it… I like Arrma products they don’t run into same issues of traxxas and they are well built despite of the garbage servos and remote control, but the truck itself is well made and organized nicely and they don’t cost as much as the traxxas plastic made cars.

Jay I gotta say definitely has a little more in in to hit 70mph. But I'm impressive with the body off going and a straight line . That's pretty good 😁👌👍👍👍👍👍

I don't think anybody should claim speeds if that's not what they do out the box. especially if you need to change both the pinion and spur. technically you can get those speeds with almost any car with that kind of aggressive gearing. they should at least offer the high speed gears with the car in the box. I also think if they had just listed it as 50 mph people would still buy it. I don't see anyone really driving about 50 considering how much it parachutes at that speed.

Afternoon where did you set the motor mount pin for 27/46?

Could you run that gearing off road or would that overheat because you're doing back back runs and it look like it was pretty good i think traxxas knows what they're doing thanks for that smooth video and stay safe

It will overheat offroad for sure

well traxxas is rarely honest about the speed unlike some companies that actually go faster then the claimed speed.... and you only need the included gear not to BUY more parts.... just another reason traxxas is what they are... i am shocked how fast it did go and didnt flip over

My 1/16 scale legendary Sonic rc truck does 58.1 mph on a 3 s 4500 mah 100 c lipo to be so little it cooks, check out my speed run search for legendary Sonic beast

The body adds weight and aerodynamic resistance. It's hard to compare runs with and without and draw any conclusions. My pickup can run a 8 second quarter mile at over 200mph* *some modifications required

If you lower the front suspension and raise the rear, it shouldn’t fly through the air.

I called that 70mph if you take it on the free way it will go over 70mph on down hill.

I get that it’s a bit expensive, but I feel like this thing is getting a lot of unnecessary hate, at the end of the day it’s a proven platform that has been stretched and fitted with an unwieldy body. I think once a new or near new roller pops up on ebay it would be a serious consideration.

Too bad you can adjust the body mounts to lower the front end down for down force SMH

The little things Traxxas does like no speed pinion , special connectors, give you charger but you got to charge in car only unless you buy pointless extra connector.

There’s a lot of rc’s that will handle typical bashing offroad environments better without sway bars. Obviously the more things included for the price the better though. I’m more interested in the durability

There are plenty of rc brands to choose from,why cry about one! This is a great rc! Kind of like one's own ole lady,either u want it or u dont! She doesnt come with half of wht u want & u still pay cash for her all day long & can hardly get action from her! Ijs! 😂😂

Im actually kind of shocked. Dont get me wrong i am a Traxxas guy thru and thru......but they do tend to inflate their claims. This time it looks like it may actually do wut it says it will do. I love the slash, i have 3 of them......but 700 bucks is a little steep

That 66 dont count with the body off. Traxxas doesnt say 70 with body off! You need to get that 66 with the body on outherwise its null. And i will not give that greedy ass conpany 700 for a truck thats worth 500-600 tops! Ridiculous, the way people support Traxxas with them exuberant prices. But i guess when you get it free it dont make a diff!
