Debbie, I know you are no longer with us in flesh, but I loved that you brought out that "shadow" and helped folks to know it was there...."lightworkers" however, need to understand that we are in err when we think we must "bring the light in"..........we must , in fact, recognize that we are THAT! The light is within!!! We are all.......all of that! It is the acceptance that needs to happen!!

What a beautiful soul. Her books changed my heart and mind in my 20’s. As a 46 year old I know I need to revisit her work. Her perspective was/is so transparent and real. So much of the spiritual literature is rainbows and unicorns. She was a gentle guide into the darkness we have fear and shame around. Such a gift!

The light came to me when I used MDMA first. I was so locked in and it opened me up. And when I started to looking around what is going on with me, I came to know all the shadow thing idea. Amazing. Now I am reading "The dark side of the light chasers". Really recommend to everyone :). Book and, how to say... not only that ;).

Wow tears! What a beautiful message for all of us! "Never give up!!!" my 6 year old daughter told me last night... she loves me so much.. Even when I die she will still love me because my spirit will be alive, living in the stars... And when she's an astronaut she will come and find me among all the beautiful stars! And live with her in space ✨🌟💖 RIP Debbie you truly are a beautiful star that shines light on us! Thank you 💖

There are moments Oprah seems genuinely empathetic, but other times self-righteous, indifferent, cold and insensitive to Debbie’s battle that Oprah could not understand unless she has been through it herself. As a cancer survivor, that really bothered me especially lecturing her on doing a grateful journal and asking if she was afraid to die?! Debbie was very courageous to be vulnerable and share her difficult scary cancer journey. RIP, Debbie. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world. Oh and f*ck cancer!

I agree Oprah is not at her best here . There were moments i thought she should have let Debbie stand in the greatness of her work . For her to give Debbie encouragement and to agree with Debbie like yes we love you are you kidding you’ve contributed a great human healing ! I wish Oprah let her know .

Oprah wasn't lecturing Karen but genuinely asking her and giving her own personal insights. You think no one has feelings except for you. Oprah has been interviewing for decades. Oprah isn't being insensitive but keeping the interview in flow.

Debbie says " I feel like I don't belong anymore " this resonates with me after an extreme bout of fatigue. I was diagnosed last year, but in denial because I felt well. I have trouble saying the "c" word because i don't want it to be real. She beautifully puts into words that I can't express. Thank you Debbie....RIP We only have today...live it fully 🙏

When I say I am a Christian I am not saying I am flawless without sin I am saying I have been forgiven I am not saying I am better then you I am saying I am better then I was yesterday I am not saying I am morally superior I am simply attempting to reflect one's perfection I will never obtain yet I strive anyways failing miserably I know I am no better then you the unbeliever I am simply blessed to have been wise enough to accept the free gift of salvation. When someone is struggling for years with depression, anxiety disorder, childhood trauma and fearful of aging alone and not being financially secure and have been unable to work because of it doesn't help looking for the shadows because the fear is always present.

Just watching this for the first time. Don't know of her but my thoughts . . I wouldn't say that she was hiding something, that she couldn't admit she had cancer out of pride or that she was even afraid but I think the idea for ourselves and others who are definite energy forces, its understandable to think they would reject the idea that they had anything wrong with them. I think a) If they feel well, b) they have much more to do, c) they haven't the time for it, d) and most importantly, it's not like it's some dirty little secret you're holding in the shadows but a question of life and possible death . . Personally I'd probably deal with it and keep on keepin' on too. I figure, when God calls me, there won't be any hangin' onto the door frame, if it's my time, I'm gone. Until then . . Just like some fellow Christians that I've known, the ones that you meet on your way into church and it's obvious they've got one dusey of a cold. They've got watery frog eyes, a nose like a red bulb and Kleenex up their sleeves . . but nope! Apparently they're actually NOT sick, but blessed beyond measure, anointed by God and as their cup runneth over, they're just all teeth and peachy ! lol Anyway ~ Blessings!

Rely upon God. Trust in Him. Praise Him, and call Him continually to mind. He verily turneth trouble into ease, and sorrow into solace, and toil into utter peace. He verily hath dominion over all things. If thou wouldst hearken to my words, release thyself from the fetters of whatsoever cometh to pass. Nay, rather, under all conditions thank thou thy loving Lord, and yield up thine affairs unto His Will that worketh as He pleaseth. This is better for thee than all else in either world. - Abdu’l-Baha, Selections from the Writings of Abdu’l-Baha, p. 178. Baha'i Faith.

Not necessarily this episode but Oprah in most if not all of your interviews you continue to interrupt your guest as though you are the expert on the subject matter. Why bother bringing in the guest if you know it all. I think that in some way it's your way of deflecting otherwise you would be discovered as a fraud in some areas.
