Atom cannon have no penetrative effect. It always blow everything on contact. Make atom cannon mortal is not as effective as make other cannon. Since the strategic here is to pierce the wood layer above the core and hit it directly. Atom cannon however, blow up the top layer.

In the beginning of the video he called that shot of hitting the exposed mine at the back of the base then second volley hits it lol

Actually, because this type of weapons take so long to hit the target, you could shoot them when your ability is close to ending, and when they land it will recharge it!

I've been looking to see what the hit points are on metal storage and not had a lot of luck. So maybe someone here might answer. Could Metal Storage units double as a back up to Sand Bags? I'm kind of thinking it might be a bad idea as the metal is useful and to use it as armour would be a waste. Thinking a pile of iron ore might stop bullets but who knows. Like you videos, I'm on a mac so a bit stuffed on the playing front. Thanks.

Metal store has 100 hitpoints. For reference, sandbags have 300, and wood has 150. Using metal storage as armor is only ever not a good thing.

Yes! The Scattershot commander decreases projectile spread while his ability is active.

Have you ever try the strategy to remove the mines under the core and bild the structure up to the core out of metal?

TheKerberos84 that’s stupid dude. It will only bring harm. An enemy does not need to necessarily cleave through your bottom to make your base fall down and explodes the core. They can hit the core directly. If you have ever realized it is impossible to cleave through the bottom of the base these days, because of the background bracing. Lets say you want to destroy the mines. You put you laser at rock bottom and shoot. I come back with a cannon boom laser explode core explode. Furthermore being passive is always worse than being aggressive. The repair speed will not keep up with the damage dealt furthermore with fewer mines.

If you don’t have mines, you can’t produce minerals and can’t build anything.

20mm cannons seem like they'd be devastating if they chain impact one on top of the other, and they arc too like the bigger cannons right? Why not try exploding tier 3 20mm rain?

It's possible! Actually the 20's are still pretty inaccurate, as the Commander Ability isn't "perfect accuracy". The 20's still spread the damage all over the fort, but at least we can hit a target with them!

It makes it possible to hit a target with them. The 20's are still pretty inaccurate... but it helps. A lot.

In games such as shellshock with numbers, yes, people have made algorithms where you just plug in the numbers. However, in forts, you simply "guess and check" so there's no reliable way to make an algorithm, especially considering the slightest change in aiming can make a big difference.

Indeed! Unfortunately, the Commander Ability doesn't make them perfectly accurate, so the 20's still spread their damage across the top of the target Fort, but it does work!

The first round does not have any mods. The second round used Tanya's mod, which can be downloaded from the Steam Workshop.
