I like that this makes you focus on the lyrics more than the beat. Kpop needs more lyrical songs than beats. Maybe these kind of songs (starts late/early) will make the companies see what the fans want.

beats are just as important. when a song doesn't have good instrumental, it sounds empty and boring. same when a song doesn't have good vocal melodies but slightly less. not saying the instrumentals need to be the FOCUS or need to be super complicated, but they should compliment the rest well and be interesting and have layers to make a "full" sound also subjective but i fucking love some moody ambiance like idk what its called but when they have all those dreamy layers and shit like kali uchis/shoegaze style idk can you tell im an instrumental math rock enjoyer 💀
