I learned Palmer in 4th grade, when I was 10 (in 1957). Over the years my handwriting has evolved into its own style, but still very aesthetic. But watching this has made me want to learn this style. It's fascinating, how beautiful it is. Never too late.

Excellent vid specially in the beginning. These font Script are easier for me but.always I end up doing some few mistakes In plain mode equality sides probably need some more hard training to do,

What does copper plate calligraphy mean? Is it referring to the copper nib, or was this font originally developed for etching on copper?

Does anyone know what ink that is in the final 'Thank you'? It's the color i'm after. Maybe the artist mixed it her- or himself. It's beautiful!

You could try using gouache. Try mixing the colours till you get the colour that you want.

Can you please tell me what kind of pink ink was used in the letter Boss at 0.53. Looks like it was applied with brush and not dipped. I have tried using acrylic tube paints by diluting them in water and applying with brush, but the paint does not flow. Also, where can I find Joseph Gillot 303 extra fine nibs. The original in brass, not the new blue copies. And thank you to all the masters that I watch and try to copy. With the advent of KZread, no excuse not to learn to write beautifully.

The writing is slow. Only the video is made in time-lapse. You can change the speed setting.

Great video‼️ The " Mamá " @ 8:54 to 9:12 loosed the floodgates for me! My sister, Catherine, is a calligrapher, and she sent me the link to this awesome video. I can imagine, for real, her hand, and quill, gliding over the parchment, her eyes moist, creating the word we always used to address our dear, departed mother. Rest in peace, Mama💖
