As experiments go I suppose this isn't so bad, but personally it doesn't work for me. If I just want to look at figures, I can google them, and even if I want to see them in motion I could literally load up any other KZread video with the sound muted. Why I come to this channel specifically is to hear commentary and banter, to be entertained by your particular style of presentation.

I was a little disappointed in the individual robots. But, Predaking's combined mode is so worth it!

I was so confused when there was no voice over. I use the same technique for my own videos and it's so much smoother and quicker, due to less outtakes!

Neato! just going straight to the transformation without chit chat works for me. i would like to see the names of the characters somewhere if you do this again. i dig it!

My one criticism about this method is that we won't know if there are any potential issues with the figure(s). However, I think this can be mitigated with in-video notations and/or an end slate listing any problems you've found. As for the figures themselves, they look like nice updates to the original G1 toys, though the way the arms are formed and the hands and feet are attached in the combination are eerily similar to the third-party versions I've seen reviewed on this channel. Also, I would have loved to see size comparisons for the individual robots.

Looking back at this Predaking and then looking at the MPG Raiden, I feel with a bit of retooling and some things, Predaking here is an awesome update to the original. Sure, he has weird proportions but its not bad compared to the newly released Raiden. Dear man, what happened with the Trainbots? If they wanted to make another MPG, I suggest they went with the Preds here. They're waaay more simpler to make tbh.

He literally stated he wanted to try something different, let our Balt experiment with his format. Although I am curious what he thought of the thigh chunks...

I appreciate the need to try something new, as I can imagine it can get monotonous, however as a content consumer I don't find this very interesting, as it doesn't give me anything I couldn't get from a series of images. What you sell is your voice and your opinions about how a figure looks and feels to you, and I think that's basically what makes any toy review worth watching. Hope this is taken as a positive criticism as it is intended, and in no way mean to put you or your work down. Look forward to your future reviews, keep up the good work!

Alright, I can dig it 😎 especially if you want to not use the audio in that particular video because of random sound elements 😅(pots and pans clattering, doorbell, or random "jubilations" from minibalt ect.) Neat concept, but I'm really not feeling it. Both the review and the subject material. I see the same flaws in Predaking that I saw in Devastator. But mostly I miss your commentary. When I watch a review of a toy I've seen multiple times, what's the draw, the unique entertainment value is you, the reviewer. Neat idea, though. The video, not the toy.

If you only had money for one which would it be - POTP Predaking or Lego Voltron ?

It's a interesting format. but without commentary it's a little long for this figure. for a smaller figure I could see this working. I think for a just simpler visual transformation. it might be easier to use wide shots, cut to a close up of what you want to transform, rotate or cut again. (it means more editing. but it deffinitely speed it up. I might be mistaken but I think for repolabels/toyhax vangelus did a nice quick cuts to do the transformation (almost like Voltron shots) I still enjoy your stuff by the way. (die hard fan. but I'll be honest it was long to sit through)

sorry. just meant to clarify. cutting and editing so it's not so much "real time" transformation. take out what you don't need. Rocket punch army sometimes does quick cuts too

This can't be labeled as a review, sorry. It doesn't stand out as a video and I'm definitely missing a commentary (with lots of swearing) from you here. I get that you want to change things up a bit, I honestly do. But I'm thinking this isn't the way to go. Heck even letting Ugandan Knuckles into the video would have been better i.m.o.. An interesting set though, but its too pricey for me, sadly enough. T_T

From the SRT name, I thought this was going to be about a knockoff Predaking that was hilariously cheap rather than disappointingly so. Bummed myself there.

I like this. Sometimes I just want to see how a toy transforms, to give me an idea of if I'd enjoy having it in my hands or not. The music was nifty. Though I would have liked it if you kept in the sound. Big ratchety clicks are satisfying, and also help give a sense of what the plastic's gonna feel like.

This one is supercool i love it

Where is the music in this video from? Also, yeah, like the others, I like to hear your thoughts on the toys. Would be cool to use on a redeco that is otherwise the same as the original with no changes to the mold though.

Great video, and it's great to see any KZreadr trying something different, but i feel this was less of a review and more of a showcase, as it didn't go into the details of the figures, but thats ok, as long as you liked making it, and you got to try something new, that's fine (I'm assuming you want feedback)

Hey balt, idk if you're trying not to damage the figure or something, but i discovered on my copy of rampage that if you use an exacto knife fo hollow out the cavity under his robot head a bit, you cam raise the robot head all the way up. Hope this helps!

Nice music. But you forgot to show the articulation of the combined mode. I guess this is more of a transformation tutorial than a full on review. I guess the experimental videos will evolve as time goes on.

Where's Onyx prime? Still a good set, but I would've liked it if you showed off everything in the set.

If I'm honest Predaking was not a good set to test this new format on. He was a much anticipated set and I'm sure that a lot of people, myself included are disappointed that we don't get to hear your thoughts on it. This format in and if itself is fine for something mundane like a repaint, but when it's a figure people actually want to know opinions of it just falls flat. My suggestion would be to save this format for repaints, smaller figures or figures that have similar designs and engineering to those that have had full spoken-word reviews in the past.

It's a good approach, but I have to say that your comments, feedback are more valuable. Maybe you can split the videos into transformation and review, so the transformation can be like this, w/o comments, and the review (will show alt mode and robot mode only) with your comments. Else when you hammer a toy we won't be able to hear anything :(

You mistransformed both arms in combined mode. You need to collapse the individual legs of rampage and divebomb like what you do when you transform them into their respective beast modes. Look at the box of the toy and you'll see your mistake.

am i the only one disappointed that the predacons aren't using the cw format (4 deluxe, 1 voyager) instead they went with this bulky blocky titan class format like devastator?
