wingshad0w00982 Hell Rebuild of Evangelion seems to be built around this idea, as if Hideaki Anno is saying "Oh you guys are all complaining that Shinji is not as proactive as other Mecha heroes. Very well then he will be in this remake . . . AND IT WILL BRING THE END OF THE WORLD . . . TWICE! LIKE THIS CHANGE PEOPLE? ARE YOU HAPPY NOW? *laughs maniacally*"

i think they didn't use the plot of 3.3 at all. in this case the 3rd impact was avoided by Kaworu than the trolling ending of 2.2. even they didn't use the 4th impact too. for the rest they appear in their 3.3 units and suits (there is even a change for Rei since at the begin she is adressed as Rei only, while later after this event her name appear as "AyanamiRei" making the distintion between the one who end up absorbed by the 10th angel and the one who later appear in 3.3).

Sigh....why this epic signature moves being taken out later in the game? What's with his new spear attack?! I want No' 0 's Berserk mode back...

She got devoured by Angel. Shinji jumped in and tried to save her. Then the power of awesomeness caused the alien mechas to explode? Then what happened?

brucebergkamp Shinji unintentionally nearly caused the end of the world and flung all the party members to different places and times. I think the only reason the world didn't end was because of Kaowru piercing the EVA 01 unit with the Lance of Longinus.

+Calamity2007 Learned that the hard way in PXZ.

This is what led to the death of Evangelion for me here because of what happened and 3.0. Anno just needs to finish this series and let it die because it's practically ruined forever. Who just ups and causes the near extinction of mankind to save a girl who doesn't even like you?!

***** The idea that anything can ruin a series forever is ridiculous. If you hate the Rebuild films tat doesn't retroactively ruin your enjoyment of the original series

Anno did state that much of it would be new for both old and new fans. The films did at least adapt the original anime to a point. That part I'm grateful for. Perhaps I'm a bit misplaced on that part.
