Watching a vid on cutting in is much more enjoyable than actually cutting in.

You and I cut in the exact same way. It leaves such a beautiful line and clients always love it so much. Thank you for mentioning “feathering” in the chunky line. People don’t realize how that line sticks out. Great painting buddy! I love being a painter.
Just wanted to thank you for all the videos you did. I see you stopped some time ago but I really appreciate it and they were very helpful. I hope you are doing well.
Absolutely amazing brushwork 😀
Cutting in is easy on a smooth wall like that, I'd like to see you cut in on really rough textured wall like I've got.

Great tips and advice. Thank you a lot. 🖌🖌🖌
Feature walls are really tricky so is cutting in even for a pro so good job man ..
Thanks so much. Great lesson 👍
Great method. Thanks for sharing.
this is what iv been looking for thanks
So helpful, thank you!
Works well if your corner are straight!
Excellent video.
Wow great tip thanks 👍👍👍👍
damn thats on point. i spend so much time taping it all up first
Nice technique!
So helpful thank you
Omg that color at 0:40 looks so Delicious!
Brush is so important for nice cuts 😎
Superb!
Watching cut in videos for S&G, found the Pro. This is how it's done .
I'm thrilled
I really like the way you cut in. You sure have a steady hand sir. Very good video. Why do some professionals painting contractors tape off on there inside corners. Maybe, they want to make sure they get a perfect straight line.
Good cut
Thankyou great tip...I was cutting in today and I was about to rip my hair out...I thought I had a steady hand .😂 I was wrong, but tomorrow I’m going to try it your way see how I go 😊

Cutting in on a straight edge would make it easier.. cut into a ceiling with no coving and then we will talk 😂👊🏽

@vaughankapua3758 Ive never done that myself. Ill give it a try when I paint next lol
👌
If you slightly clean the side of the brush that goes against the ceiling you can cut it in one stroke, is more faster and will leave no excessive paint. Of course you need to practice in order to get good at it.
This assumes a nice, crisp, straight caulk line... which is a rarity. I'm painting my son's condo, which was apparently caulked by Ray Charles or Stevie Wonder...
This is only the second painter I've found with this technique.
Thank you so much this is totally amazing! Your a legend.
First of a dozen videos that does a great job of explaining techniques vs just showing off a steady hand... Great job! My only advice (to myself mostly), use a good brush! Not some shitty dollar store brand...
I usually tape and caulk accent walls with clear caulking. But damn your cut in skills are on point 👌🏽

What brush is being used?
Zibra 2 inch chiseled wedge: Best edging brush I haev ever used: Amazon or Home Depot
Love the paint brush being used. What brand/type is it please?

Uni-pro from Bunnings.
Found this technique messy . Better with a good masking tape
So what brush!
No way!!... I ALWAYS use frog tape on the vertical corner edge, to guard against imperfections in the wall
I water my paint down to get the perfect line , no smudging, and get the perfect line
Try that on an uneven wall xD
I see. So the only thing missing from my skills is coordination.
its a lot easier when you have a ledge on the wall to paint against as you pull the brush across.
I always have brush lines less than an inch away from the cut in. I'm using Wooster Pro soft bristle brush. I feel like I'm getting plenty of paint on the brush. What am I doing wrong?

Same here. Just using standard trade paint, but once I’ve gone over the main bit with a roller, a lot of the cut-in parts always stand out. Is it just a matter of putting loads of coats on? 🤷🏾♂️
You cut in straighter by hand than i do using masking tape 🤣, i’ve just painted my bedroom & cutting in looks darker than the rolled walls 🙈 any ideas or tips ?

Hello, do you have videos to teach how to paint a timber fence?
@gianthills

fences are usually sprayed, but you can brush and roll them but it just takes much more time because you have to cover all the little tight areas and give it a second coat.
I hate painting

Masking tape is the only way for anyone who needs to look this up. No one here is good enough to cut in that precise, trust me. Save yourself and just mask it off.

You don’t know what you are talking about. All it takes is a good cut in brush and a little practice and it’s done. Tape is expensive and a big waste of time,

@@michaelwpaulin4876 If you're a DIYer, there is no such thing as "practice". Usually it's a one off and you don't do it again for another few years. Tape is expensive? TIME is expensive in having to fix the mistakes from cutting in.
