Well, the game IS predicated on learning everyone’s patterns and the best time to hit them during it. Makes sense that a human, who has no patterns, would make that near impossible

@@borby4584 Oh, humans very much have patterns. They're just not made specifically for the purpose of being exploitable by an average gamer, and they usually include rules about not abusing OP game breaking moves. That is the part which humans lack.

No wonder Super Macho Man was World Champion in the SNES days. Not only was he one of the game's hardest opponents, but his Exercise Programs make the Dreamland Express look like child's play.

Im proud of P2 for choosing piston hurricane. He's probably the closest enemy to "fair" as possible. Ultra move super predictable and leaves you open. Strong normals, but significant tell for counter play by P1.

So weird. When I bought the game in the mid 90's I got the impression somehow that the game had a multiplayer mode but I never even bothered to try to figure it out and here it is!

man this is actually so awesome to see that people are now looking apon this franchise again. Punch out two player is epic!!!!

It makes sense. Well, it's a dev mode. Allowed the devs to access any fight, and to test frames themselves. Also, you can access the credit sequence from the screen (I've seen people access it, don't know how myself), so it was just a total test mode. Instead of playing through the game to test the fighters, just access the screen and get to any fight, and if you need to test how a fighter is in a new build, just pick up the second controller.

Imagine a Super Punch Out ROM Hack with this 2 player feature, where the 1st player can play AS one of the opponents as well, like little mac being replaced by Mr Sandman

It was found about a year ago and requires two cheat codes to be inputted via the second controller.
