When asked "How much mushroom are you gonna put in the food?", Toad said *"Yes".* The voice of Toad is Samantha Kelly! She's not only the voice of Toad but also the voice of PEACH! She has been doing the voices of Peach and Toad pretty much since Mario Strikers Charged and Mario Party 8 respectively. She's Toadette as well! She's probably not used to Toad speaking in English in complete sentences, but she did such a great job as usual!

"I have an issue with mayonnaise" Patrick Star took offense to that...mayonnaise is one of the greatest instruments of all time alongside horseradish 😂. Jokes aside, what I love about this land is that the detail is everything! Like they know how to unlock your mind with gaming nostalgia. Like at 2:36, I love how they included not just the classic items, but also the Super Acorn from New Super Mario Bros. U, Mini Mushroom from New Super Mario Bros, and the Super Bell from Super Mario 3D World! And that they're playing such great music like Gusty Garden Galaxy at 3:26 and Good Egg Galaxy at 6:22...warms my Galaxy heart. You can just tell they poured their heart into this land!

I was surprised at how quick it filled up when we went (very early too!), but hopefully next time we go we can try it out. Thanks for the video.

The editing and soundtrack choice is great. It took extra effort for the nicely focused b-roll shots and the camera pans were nice and smooth Well done krysta!

I’m glad that you liked the food for the most part. I gotta say though…that green sauce on the side of the Luigi sandwich was delicious in my opinion! As a dip for the fries and to add to the exterior of the the chicken…so good. But, everyone’s taste buds are a bit different. Here’s to your next visit and trying even more. 😁

As a vegetarian who doesn't like mushrooms, I guess I'd have to hope they have some desserts in stock, lol. Looks interesting, but I wonder why this location doesn't have the little Yoshi snack stall that Japan has - maybe the park in Hollywood is just too small. Glad Kit was able to avoid mayo!

Universal Hollywood is a small park, compared to other places, but also it's split between two lots. Upper lot, which is a lot larger, and the lower lot. The smaller lower lot is filled with a lot of studios, because Universal Studios actually has real studios where shows are and have been shot through the years. The backlot tour is an attraction you can take, and it goes through a bit of the place, but not a lot as to not disturb too much of the studios that are shooting. However at times, you might be lucky enough to see from a distance, however they generally will avoid any shootings if they know some are going on. Overall, yes the lower lot is very small, and Super Nintendo World is fairly small too. It's grand in size because they use the trick many lands use, where they build high and big, so it gives the illusion of larger than life size. It's a common trick employed by theme parks, but overall there just isn't any room. They are tearing down some old studios in an effort to expand the lower lot, but I'm not sure how much room that will claim back and I don't think anymore work will be done to expand Super Nintendo World.

I'm also a vegetarian (although I love mushrooms), but if you want to avoid them I'd go with the spaghetti kids meal! There is also a snack stall with popcorn and 3 different themed soda floats outside the land near the Transformers area

not a mushroom person but I had options! I got the Luigi Burger and the garlic knots. can't ever go wrong with garlic knots but wow, I loved that Luigi Burger/fries. the super star drink was also super refreshing. it's hard to mess pesto stuff up, so I guess i shouldn't have been that surprised but I liked it wayyyy more than I would've ever expected from what is essentially still theme park food

I know Kit did not just take a fry off of her plate without asking after he denied her.... I would've plotted my revenge all throughout that meal! When he cut that meatball in half, I would've taken that along with some spaghetti!

If i were to visit this cafe for myself, id likely try the soup and spaghetti for sure! I have quite a few friends in my circle who hate mushrooms with a passion 😅

Just throwing in another opinion, I tried the Luigi Burger and I thought it was really good. I prefer it over the cheeseburger. I also really liked the garlic knots.

When I go to toadstool café I would order starman drink, mushroom soup, Mario themed burger and chips also the question block dessert now that will be scrumptious and delicious. 😋😋😋😋😋

I’m not a big mushroom fan, but I will tolerate them when I make this trip.

Late to the party, but I just want to say I came to the channel for the unique Nintendo perspective and fun personalities, but stayed for the absolute disrespect Kit showed during this video 😂. Love it.

Hi! Is it possible to adults order kids menu?

Love the vibe in Toadstool Cafe, I definitely want to try the Fire Flower Spaghetti, one of the cakes (excluding the Princess Peach Cupcake), and likely one of the Mario theme drinks despite the fact it is about $12 or getting a collectable sipper. Thanks for the tips Kit and Krysta! Keeping it noted for the reservations.

What it comes to the Luigi chicken sandwich, I get it, it's based off of his character traits.

I'm curious, did you not like the Luigi burger because it had mayo, or were all the parts just not good? I ask because all the other entrees look like they have pork which i can't eat, which only leaves me the turkey burger to eat (I'm ok with mayo). 😢

I think it's too new for people to just go in and order. It doesn't help too that even though everyone there had reservations, they were still sold out of a good amount of stuff!

That's what I was thinking. Most places use rice paper since it has no taste but can be used in so many ways for decoration!

I hope that eventually, it's possible to just ask "Hold the mushrooms" when you order something here. I have a pretty strong aversion to mushrooms and one of my friends is allergic, so...

Yeah that's definitely not great that they couldn't tell you if it had mayonnaise. I wouldn't expect everyone to know that, but it certainly shouldn't be a big deal for them to find out. Menu looks good to me though...but then I do like mushrooms. And mayonnaise. And I'm not super current on the exchange rate, but $100-ish sounds pretty reasonable to me for what you originally ordered. Thanks for sharing.

In old Nintendo Minute videos they've said they were married to other people and just good friends. I do think it's kind of odd they don't bring it up often/show their spouses and just let everyone speculate instead lol.

Statistically, its very likely they will have an affair some day if they havent already. But with that said, we win so hopefully they keep it up :P

I don't eat meat so I'm hoping the bigger Florida park brings more from Japan's menu. Otherwise I'm gonna be hopped up on sugar from just the desserts all day.

That's actually problematic, if they don't allow you to omit ingredients. Hopefully, in the future, they'll be more considerate to people with allergies or food-conditiona.

I’d probably go for the pasta. I hate mushrooms, and found out with mushroom soup that “taste” wasn’t the only problem… I made that mistake once, never again, haha.

I worked at one of the big 3 in Orlando for theme parks selling food. If someone asked for no sauce, we give them what they want with no sauce. Picky eaters to allergic reaction prevention, if you want something made a certain way, we'll do it. Just that we ask that you wait a few minutes while we make you one to your specifications.

was it a busy dine-in restaurant or a takeaway vendor? I can imagine there is a difference in service policy based on traffic and the need to quickly cycle guests

I don't know how these two maintain marriages to other people while doing all these trips together.

Kit, you definitely should be nicer with Krysta.

The look on Kit’s face when he forbid touching his fire flower thing was hilarious.

I'm proud of Kit for trying out the salad dressing, I would have avoided it myself. I didn't expect him to be a picky eater but I can relate to his mayo detector because I'm the same way with ketchup 😂🤣 The difference between Kit and Krysta gave me such a chuckle. Everyone needs an adventurous foodie friend like Krysta! ☺

The small amount of desserts was sad, but I would take the soup and salad. And the spaghetti without meat when they finally allow substitutions

There's 3 desserts. I think that's acceptable considering they don't have a huge menu

I feel, when it comes to the substituting, I feel like they can't do it, because they don't have anything to substitute for, probably not yet, face off of, things are pretty new. I say maybe give it like a year or two, there might be a new things to have. All of that aside, maybe in the near future, maybe you guys, can give us a video, to show us how everything is made, just a peek behind the curtain, so to say, but I bet, either a, you guys have to wake up super early before the cafe even open or b, come there when it's not as busy , See you get a behind the scenes, but I wouldn't count on that suggestion being a video.

Custom orders slow down the assembly line of getting people in and out. That's the reason. They make the food no matter who it is for and then it gets passed off once it's ordered. Things are not made to order in this type of theme park restaurant.

lol, he is always like that. Its just masculine energy. You should see how guys are to each other. These 2 have a very casual relationship and he has a dominating and competitive personality. She dishes it out in her own way often also, but she clearly loves his masculine energy. Not everybody does, but most women do. No need to make her into a victim that she clearly doesnt think she is. They have been doing shows together for 10 years now.
