Uncle Shigi looks so genuinely happy. It honestly almost brought me to tears seeing how happy and proud he was and how he refers to himself as "Mario's dad". Just imagine you came up with some silly characters in a video game and many years later you're looking at an entire theme park based on your creation. I came up with some silly characters myself, and I can only say so much about the joy it gives me to bring my creation to life, even in a simple doodle. Just imagine the immense happiness in this man's heart, then... :')

I’m rewatching this. And the part at 9:36 where the Mascots walk up to him and are actually talking and saying “Hey! Hello!” Makes me want to go there even more, it just blows my mind. it looks like there’s a dk area in plans to the universal Florida Nintendo world, with a ride just like the mine’s car on the game it seems awesome

The textures of the objects are so realistic, the food looks so delicious my god, everything in this Super Nintendo world is amazing. I haven't been there yet but I loved it.

10:34 everybody gangsta till toad starts speaking in fluent japanese with an accent

The set looks so real that it feels like it's 3D rendered stuff with guest put on the top of it using a green screen.

This man dedicated his life to Mario and now he gets to visit the mushroom kingdom in real life. You can see the pure joy on his face the whole time and I’m soo happy for him.

Overall it looks like an awesome idea and start for the parks. I hope Nintendo expands to bring the other Nintendo characters from the other games in the future since they focused heavily on just the Super Mario game themed worlds for the opening along with Mario Kart games.

If you think about how life in japan as a boy influenced the games he made, like the forest and caves he explored that are the basis for links adventures or the chain chomp that was inspired by a barking dog on a chain. He spent a big part of his life creating worlds players fell in love with and now, a world he created has a physical representation. I can't even fathom what he feels but I can imagine proud and ecstatic being something that's close to that feeling

About 40 year ago someone told Miyamoto, his idea for a Popeye arcade game was rejected. Now, a few days ago, someone told him the theme park based on his life work had been completet. That man is living a dream!
