This is one of my favorite Super Metroid rom hacks in existence. I love the creative background designs that Digital_Mantra has created. Like that on 25:04. It looks like a demonic face. One room especially is where the background and foreground move slowly than the area where Samus is, creating the illusion of 2.5D (or 3D if you will). This Super Metroid rom hack heavily reminds me of Alien and Aliens movies.

I am *baffled* by the lack of minimap. I can't imagine what the thought process might have been... and Digital Mantra is a good hacker, too! As always great TAS, and the worldbuilding was well done, shining through even with Samus going so fast. The satanic Spore Spawn land, the animal laboratory, both unsettling to look at even with a TAS going on.

yeah, it’s hard to follow if one is not familiar with the hack! 😅 I should’ve added a map there, my bad!

I can't be the only person sitting here wondering in amazement at the mere existsnce of these moves. Obviously a human couldn't pull off most of them, but just imagine.

I remember Kriole TASing the original version a long time ago.

yeah, that TAS was great! the author made some different things in this 2012 edition :)

this tas makes up for what you did to croc in the subversion any% tas great work

Amazing TAS as always. Did you know there is actually a hidden item you didn't get? So 101% is possible? I forget what it is, I think it's a missile pack. It's in the ceiling of the last metroid room you went to before going to the spore/botwoon area. It's offscreen and in the ceiling. The only way to get it is to clip into the ceiling. The human speedrun gets it. I want to say the get it by freezing a metroid near the ceiling and clipping that way. TAS could also do a crystal flash, I think.

Thanks! :) yes I knew it was there :) freeze the Metroid is the fastest way to get it! I was considering to get it or not, but finally I went for 100% (because there are many hidden items that were collectible and still inbound :/

@@thedagit if the ID of the item is not the same, properly 6 more items can be collected, I think I should try collecting them:)
