@@galacticeyelord To be fair, unless you have the rocket nozzle, there's no way to get back into the level from there. Lesson number two is don't try to swim back in bounds, the ground will interfere with water surface detection and cause the downwarp. If you get out of bounds like that, jump out of the water and hover back in bounds

RIP 99 coins you will be missed 2002-2023

The overworld of this stage has a severe lack of yellow coins. I had to use the coin fish to do it.

I was able to do it but I believe I might have been looking for the blue coins as well at the time. That was a big mistake I guess.

Episode 6 has 50 coins forming a path on the water, you can get them with the mud boat or the turbo nozzle

I'm just surprised most of Sunshine's glitches, especially this one, got past QA considering Nintendo usually holds Mario and Zelda games to extremely high standards.

It had a rough development cycle, it got a trailer at Space World less than a year before release that looked nothing like the final game

Watching you swim to the boundary i was saying "don't do it it'll warp you don't do it it'll warp you" then it warped you 😂 I know this game too well I swear.

It is sad that sometimes you have to find a certain mission in the level to collect enough coins for it

That particular glitch has never happened to me before. One time however I fell below the death plane in Pianta Village and was walking on a pitch-black floor.

This was a first for me as well so I had no idea what was going on. I never really do things like this on purpose or by accident.

Why is no-one talking about thr fact that MARIO LITERALLY CLIPPED THROUGH A WALL

If I recall correctly that kind of clip is used in speedrunning

I would have scream out of rage.

I love Super Mario Sunshine but its numerous glitches like this are horrendous and Nintendo didn’t even bother to patch any of them out in the Super Mario 3D All Stars version of the game.

3D All-Stars is a complete joke, it's literally an emulation of the original game, all they patched was a glitch that would've made the rollercoaster levels near impossible, and they even introduced emulation glitches that Dolphin had fixed years ago

They didn't even fully port the original controls...I had so many problems controlling fludd because the controls were freaking inverted and it wasn't inverted on the original console

I had issues with it in the beginning but got used to it early on, definitely something they could have fixed early on or before for sure.

To be fair, they did add options for camera controls (and GC controller compatibility) in an update... like 2 months after 3DAS came out

I recently played and 100%ed this game for the first time not too long ago. By far the most unfair thing happened to me on this stage. It was the first episode where you have to stop the mole from blocking the waterfall. I defeated him but one of the bombs he threw never despawned, so during the cutscene of the waterfall going back to normal (while I couldn’t move) this bomb pushed off the ledge and I fell into the polluted water and died. Fortunately I can look back on this and laugh, but I felt so dumbfounded.

I got a weird thing too in the Chuckster Stage, where I was thrown at the last platform, but I somehow went through the platform kinda like you did, but it instantly killed me, I recorded it too. I don't think the level's that bad like the others say, but the fact it's consistent across Sunshine fans is really weird.

I feel bad for you man...

Maaan.... maybe mario sunshine its funny.....but.....its so exsauting and estressful when that happens.....

I think part of the reason I love this game so much is actually because of all the jank lol. Just feels like home

that place where you died only kills you if you stand on it too long so if you keep jumping you'd be safe, granted your still stuck down there so...

@@alchemistofsteel8099 Unless you don’t count that then yes. I mean, I’ve played the entirety of Sunshine plenty of times and I can’t recall a time I’ve died due to a out of bounds glitch. Only two big ones I use sometimes is the one where you turbo nozzle into the marketplace making you go out of bounds (for memes) and the one where you get Yoshi under Delfino Plaza so I can get him to the island with the pipe to the poison river.

i love this game

It’s weird how often you fall through the floor, I’ve had it happen multiple times, mostly in secret levels
