@@marquisthomas7756 penguin mario is easily the best, he can slide on his belly to break blocks and plow through enemies without the need of a slope as well as shoot iceballs :)

Here are some power-ups that the video makers seemed to have forgotten about, despite appearing in Mario platforming games: - Superball Flower (Super Mario Land): This powerup served as the game's version of the Fire Flower, albeit not as effective overall, since the balls thrown by Superball Mario bounce diagonally throughout the level. - Carrot (Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins): This powerup is similar in purpose to the Super Leaf, Super Feather, Propeller Mushroom, and Super Acorn in other Mario games, albeit inferior since all this powerup does is let Bunny Mario fall slowly (like Raccoon Mario, Caped Mario, and Squirrel Mario), with no true ability to fly. - Blue Shell (New Super Mario Bros.): This powerup causes Mario to turn into a Koopa Shell when running, so in a way, it's similar, though probably inferior, to the Penguin Suit.

@@RainLion10 Only horizontally. You still don't gain vertical height with Rabbit Mario, unlike the other power-ups. Also, you'll still end up falling down, albeit VERY slowly with this powerup. Personally, I'm of the opinion that Raccoon Mario, Tanuki Suit Mario, Caped Mario, and Squirrel Mario all offer pretty much the same benefits as Rabbit Mario, and then some.

Ice Flower & Penguin Suit. Seems similar to the relationship between the Raccoon Leaf and the Tanooki Suit from Super Mario Bros. 3.

The Mega Mushroom does have 1 particular drawback: unlike the star, you lose the previous power up you had and you just return to big Mario after it wares off leaving disadvantaged offensive wise after the power-up wears off. But overall I agree with most of your list but I do think you were a bit harsh on the power-ups that only appeared in one game like the cape feather.

@@ugandianos_ Yeah but the Giga Bell is a bit different in a way because you require this power up to fight Fury Bowser and ur extra power ups are stored aplenty so the issue there is not as prominent as it is with the Mega Mushroom.

I disagree with Cape Feather being lower than the Tanooki Suit and Super Leaf. The main reason Cape Feather almost didn't make another appearance was because of how powerful it was. Yeah the Tanooki and Super Leaf can get the P wing and invincibility leaf but that to me doesn't justify it being higher. The reappearance it made was watered down a bit and the P and Invincibility leaf don't count as a standard power up in of itself. You only temporarily get Ps which should've affected the ranking plus you only get the invincibility for dying too many times at least in 3D

The poison mushroom is one of the most, weak power ups in the game series ever since if you were small or mini Mario, it can kill you if you collect or touch it. It happened to me a lot of times and I eventually rage quitted from that, until I came back later and made sure to avoid them!

I mostly agree with your list, but you forgot the Strawberry from super mario land 2 and the super ball flower from super mario land (1).

I miss Blue shell from New Super Mario Bros DS, Superball Flower from Super mario Land and Super Carrot from Super Mario Land 2, but great list!

Super ball was an inferior fire flower

Honestly the Red Star was a good power-up but wasn't allowed to shine in levels. It could definietly replace the Wing Cap if not, be better

But even if the poison mushroom is bad, isn’t it powerful for what it does. It is unkillable by Mario single-handedly and does great amount of damage, even going as far as killing sometimes.

Actually, The Lost Levels was the Japanese Super Mario Bros. 2, which was the direct sequel to the original SMB. Outside of Japan, there was a different SMB2, which was basically a reskinned Doki Doki Panic.

I think the spring mushroom should’ve been 1 space higher the P balloon was only necessary for 1 level and only that level, in SM64ds it’s the power flower the spring mushroom actually makes climbing levels faster (and more possible) plus getting hit with the p-balloon kills you instantly while the spring mushroom gives you another shot I haven’t died at all the first time I used the spring mushroom (and I wasn’t that good at the game) so according to me I’m a natural at this power-up

You guys forgot the Blue Shell from New Super Mario bros for DS! That’s one of my favorite power ups!

If you've played the right Super Mario World hacks, then you'll know that the P balloon has it's niche of allowing Mario to fly through twisting spike/lava maze gauntlets.

The Fire Flower, and Super Bell are my favorite Super Mario power-ups. But the most invincible one of them all is the Super Star, though only lasting like 10 seconds in the games.🌻🔥🔔🐈⭐🌟

Wrong the White Tanooki suit is more invisible than super star because the White Tankooki doesn't have a time limit while the super star does plus white tankooki also has things like floats and flys

I'm kind of sad you didn't add the blue shell, but can you do Kirby's copy abilities weak to powerful as well but great video overall

I think an argument can be made with the Giga Bell in that it’s the only power up able to take on Fury Bowser and also I’m pretty sure the only enemy able to damage Giga Cat Mario is Bowser. Maybe I’m wrong but just I’m pretty sure the Giga Bell makes you immune to normal enemies like the Mega Mushroom.

I would swap around mega mushroom and giga Bell. The only reason giga cat Mario takes damage is because he is exposed to a MUCH more powerful enemy. Not just goombas and koopas.

1:40 Well, considering that the Poison Mushroom is 3 times slower in 3D Land, I'd argue that it was still much deadlier in its first appearance.

Kirby Enemies: weakest to strongest

I agree.

To me, the Cape is AT LEAST equal to, if not slightly better than, the Tanooki Suit and P-Wing. Reasons? 1. The cape, if controlled properly, allows for indefinite flight. The P-wing does, too, but it only lasts for one level. The Cape doesn't lose this ability after one level and lets you do it as long as there is enough room to gain enough speed. The only real advantage the P-Wing has here is that it's better for getting out of tight spots right above pits should you find yourself in one. The Tanooki Suit and regular Leaf don't allow for indefinite flight at all. 2. The Cape allows Mario to not take damage if he dives into something that would normally damage him (think Thwomp or Bowser, for example). Yes, the Tanooki Suit does the same, but it's not as fluid or user-friendly of a motion. The P-Wing and Leaf don't allow this at all. 3. The Cape can also break (or at least allow passage through) blocks and damage enemies, but the motion is more fluid and easier to do repeatedly while Mario is running compared to the other two items here. The Cape is absolutely broken.

@@chadpeterson5698 As for the darknuts, maybe using a giant hammer to do lethal damages to them since they are wearing an armor and then finishing them of with a sword. Then again, we have to be really skilled with a sword to defeat one.

I think the only way to REALLY compare the Giga Bell and Mega Mushroom would be to see if Mario takes damage from Fury Bowser when using the Mega Mushroom. Which I think is impossible to do. I'd say Giga Bell is the most powerful honestly.

I feel like boomerang and fire should have been switched, and I think that the crown should be much lower. Other than that I agree

I can see why the 1-Up Mushroom is avoided here. In the main series, they just give you an extra life and do nothing else. That's pretty much nothing compared to the Mario and Luigi games where the shrooms literally revive people.

I would say the Invincibility Leaf is more powerful than the Super Star since its invincibility lasts until you complete the level or die (whereas the Super Star's invincibility wears off after a short time) and it gives you other abilities (whereas the Super Star makes you invincible and that's it).

I would like to say the Mario Galaxy fire flower is the most powerful of the fire flowers and could even kill dry bones by one fire ball, enemies that are usually immune to fire in other mario games, except for maybe super paper mario, when using bowser's fire.

You forgot to add those invincibility powerups you'd get if you died toobmany times and the p wing (sent you to the end of the level) that was in super mario 3d land after you died an obnormanal amount of times

you are missing some power-ups and some placements aren’t right the supercrown is weaker than the super acorn it’s exclusive to toadette and lacks wallclinging and high springjump (the rest is identical) and the automatic save can easily be replicated by the super acorn and sabotage certain trickjumps from offscreen

The cape is actually the most powerful, assist powerups are for little noobs, and the super leaf is 1000 times less powerful in Mario maker 2 than the cape , because the cape can kill bosses, and the star is not the strongest

Tanooki is the only power up that can destroy rotodisc and the flames on the airships so I’d rank it a bit higher than the raccoon leaf
