The special events in this game are among the most tame of any Mario Party. Past games were a lot more creative with board events. Hopefully the next game will be a bit more bold.
Event Spaces have always been the cream of the crop in Mario Party Games.

This must be the European version
It feels weird seeing freaking BOWSER being playable like every regular character... after all these years and games (over 10 games, without counting handheld Mario Party games) spent being the main boss or a special stage event...

Toad and Toadette were indeed playable in previous Mario Party games. Toadette even slightly references it at one point.
