That's the funny thing about hundred year old standards.... You could have a restored 1926 organ playing a roll just cut yesterday.... Or a brand newly built organ playing a dusty old roll that's been sitting in a box since 1932.....

Actually this organ was built in 2008, so the music is still younger than the organ. Like most Dutch street organs the books it plays are not on a fully standard scale and have to be custom made for it.

I had no idea, although that may be why most of them sound so good, their rolls are custom made for them.... Honestly I thought it was like American organs or player pianos, they typically run on on one of a dozen or so standards that were made in the thousands.

There are several standards, but I think the number of organs deviating from those standards is greater ;)
