The theory was just for fun I don't think he honestly believes some of his theories unless they're an indie horror game. Some people just ran with it either for some jokes, parody, or for story reasons. I'm pretty sure very few people genuinely believe it. Sometimes the joke exists just to parallel disney since people often compare nintendo as the video game equivalent to disney, mario is almost as popular as mickey mouse, people sometimes use mickey mouse to represent disney, and people see disney as evil so mario is used in a similar way. mostly for parody purposes.

Mario is the reason why we have these damn games in the first place GUYS STOP SAYING HE'S A BAD GUY....😤😢 *HE IS OUR HERO!!!!!*

While Mario does stomp on a bunch of things, it's important to note that everything he's stomping on is apart of an evil army that's trying to defeat him, and he has to deal with them. Mario has to take down what's practically a whole battle front to save the day, and he's pretty honorable brave to do all of this with only a few other players.

I agree. Mario is a hero. True he may not be 100% perfect, but no one is. He has good intentions at heart.

Everyone is giving Mario so much hate and I'm honestly sick of it. It's always Mario is mental, Mario is on drugs, Mario isn't Sonic so he sucks, he has no soul. There’s the big point. To say mario, who has no control of his actions, is evil because he drops yoshi off cliffs is kinda dumb.

I like these dubs it gives the mario characters more depth

To this day people still believe dorky's bull mario bits. We don't have any proof that the Goomba's and Troppas have any family's or that they themselves are not terrorists. I feel bad for Mario. That poor man is being accused of being a quote on quote monster. I love the mario characters and games and there's no way someone can proof to me that mario is a bad guy 😤

I know matpat probably wasn’t trying to make this whole theory a trend but still I mean Mario is my hero and my favorite video game character and if you think Mario is rude or a bad brother let me explain why your wrong in my opinion, 1: watch the Mario movie 2: remember all the amazing things he’s done for people especially Luigi 3: don’t listen to fan made dubs where he is mean 4: People have flaws Mario has done a few cruel things but he isn’t perfect 5: koopa troopas and goombas most likely don’t have family’s and even if they do they are living death if you touch them you die so he is just trying to keep people of the mushroom kingdom safe and anyone else in the Mario world such as sarrasah land and etc etc

(formally CollegeHumour). in SuperMarioLogan he (now called Marvin because of the Nintendo cease-and-desist letter) is a stressed adopted father of Jeffy. with Rosalina (called Rose because of the cease-and-desist letter from Nintendo) as his wife.
