One of my favorite improvements is being able to play as any character. The “New” series made it so that Player 1 *had* to be Mario (Except for New Super Luigi U, where Player 1 *had* to be Luigi). The badges also helps with a problem some people have with the other playable characters; No unique attributes. For example: the Floating High Jump badge makes you jump like Luigi can, so players who want that classic Luigi experience can simply equip that for the same effect, and without worrying about low traction. Also, Fun Fact (that I learned the other night): This isn’t the first game where Luigi says “Wowie-Zowie. He says it in Luigi’s Mansion 3.

This game has so much charm. I thought the talking flowers would start to be annoying, but when one them said "I WARNED YOU" I burst out cackling! The art style also has a lot of charm and pernosality, and the departure from the NSMB style is certainly welcome.

I have a feeling there's gonna be a lotta characters potentially braining their damage in this game. 5:39 "To the winds." Said the Wind Rider 6:05 Elephant transformation. Have we crossed over into Shantae? Singing Piranha Plants. Haven't seen something like that since the Japanese Super Mario RPG commercial.

I can’t believe it! A 2D Mario game where stage 2 ISN’T an underground level!? Blasphemy!

Piranha Plants on Parade was probably if not the, one of the BEST levels in SMB. Wonder

While they can be a pain in the butt when playing solo, i believe character blocks are great! It encourages online play since you may know a block is there and show others or someone may show you one. If you ever play online and see a floating standee (without a moving platform nearby) it means there's an invisible/character block. Some are even in spots one can deduce with mario knowledge (like symmetry)

I had a strong feeling you play this next, and already starting off strong. though i will say this. there will be a lot of craziness besides the Parade you saw. there is more to come. Keep doing amazing.

You did actually miss a 1-up. In piranha plants on parade, you missed a hidden block at the end of the foreground. Walk past the pipe which leads to the secret exit and jump when mario can't go any further to reveal a 1-up!

Ahh, I was hoping to see Yoshi, even if for fun but I guess Yoshi makes most levels a bit too easy
