Neither, this is the GBA port of SMB3 with a texture patch applied to it. And then run on an emulator.

What filter you use in retroarch to make this hd effect ?

​@@Basilchan321 It is an HD remake, since it's not possible on original hardware. Nintendo calls Mario 3D All-Stars a collection of remakes. I don't see why this would not be considered a remake... one that's better than what Nintendo can deliver at that!

@@phillicus Amazing that the NES original has better-sounding drums. That cartridge had additional chips to allow for compressed drum samples and the music was spectacular for a console game in 1988.
