The only reason I wasn't terrified is that I saw the boss as a kid on YT, it was the first footage I had seen of SMB2 and later when I saw a player exit a level through that door I was like "nooo wtf are you doing?"

Oh wow... that actually makes sense now. And the machine is apparently a "nightmare producer", and when Mario and company encounter Wart, it starts backfiring and dispensing WART's weakness, which is vegetables.

it improved so much to the series that it's basically impossible ignore this, matio Lost levels can really be ignored because is basically mario 1 with new harder levels

always thought super Mario 2 was a lot weirder than the rest of the super Mario's just something about the artwork and the characters it was just way different than the rest is always struck me as odd and it also was seem like more of the most difficult one to beat

Seems like alot of successful NES games went weird on their sequels, then returned to style of original for 3rd. Zelda 2 and Simon's Quest were the same way.

I found a strategy to beat birdo in 1 second in 1-2: Step 1:you need Luigi to do this. Step 2:collect 5 cherries to spawn the star. Step 3:run to the end to birdo without any mistake I did this by myself.

In the All-Stars version, I encountered a strange glitch on the 1st Tryclyde fight, where he died after the second hit when he was off-screen for a second or something.

I played this when I was 8. That was back when T.V.s were still coax cables, turn knobs and fuzzy. The bird face on a summer vacation day, usually on a rainy foggy day, was something that presented itself as a flying face in a dream after.

9:40 You want fun? Falco show you fun. AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Clawglip? I always thought it was Clawgrip! I'd love to see Wart make a come back some day. That ending is...ominous, IMO. Yes, it was all a dream, but all the enemies are shown, ending with Wart...who starts laughing. It's almost like the game is saying "Yes, you beat Wart but it was all a dream...so did you really beat him at all?" because he seems to almost be mocking you!

A lot of these enemies are in the super mario bros super show

That happens with every Birdo. When killed, if there's nothing in its usual spawning point, it will respawn like a regular enemy.

Wart reprogrammed the machine of dreams to create nightmares. You can see it as the machine of dreams trying to help you defeat Wart, or it is simply that vegetables are Wart's nightmare.

In this game the Tomato and the Onion only appears here from the dream machine and also the Turnip looks different in world 7 and here when battling Wart . but in the Super Mario All Stars version of this you get a Pumpkin instead of the Tomato . Clawgrip replaces the white mouser in the original version of this game Doki Doki Panic .

The wart is the hardiest monster to defeat!

I watched my dad beat the game once. It was weird for me to watch not knowing who the enemies were. Expect for Shy guy.

i remember i watched the old Mario cartoon. And i thought Wart was King Koopa at the end of this game. Their design was pretty similar at the time.

and in super Mario advance, i got to world 7 like this: beat world 1 through 2, took the warp in 3-1, completed 5-1 and 5-2 which were HAAAARD then i finally completed 5-2 and did the warp in 5-3.

Forgot about the fire guy and the crab bosses. Probably because I always used the warps.

There's more to it than that: * The B-Button run was added. * Frames of animation were added to enemies. * Frames of animation were removed from the waterfalls (presumably to prevent epilepsy). * Stackable masks were changed to mushroom blocks. * The save feature from Doki Doki Panic was removed to save money. * The third Mouser was removed and replaced with Clawgrip.

Well, not exactly. The 2nd Mouser fight was moved to 6-3, which is where the 2nd Tryclyde battle was originally, and they just got rid of the 2nd Tryclyde fight.
