@HighBowPuffin64 Archive why would they hire them? Nintendo is a near entirely Japanese company. Hiring this person would likely cause more headache then anything else. They'd be unable to properly integrate into the culture let alone the work flow most likely. That's not even getting into them needing to be able to work with their dev tools, plus they're just one person with far less value to them vs say, a proper small team. Honestly people like this should probably just stop eating there time making fan games and actually, you know, use there talent for something original.

The assets don't clash because I made all of them except the characters. All models and textures I purpose built for this project, this includes all animations. While the Mario models are from Odyssey I made 62 animations for in game Mario and sadly this video skipped over the dancing animations for Mario in the menu, the headphones are custom made for him too :D Nintendo did take it down, but this was the whole project, I never intended to go any further at all and mentioned that in my original video. This project was entirely for learning purposes, and I've been making my platformer "Tubby Super Cat" for years before I tried this out, I wanted to simply get better at producing Mario style movement systems. Thanks everyone.

it's a combination of things, like mario's hands being too big, his arms being at a 65° angle instead of an 85°, then there's the stiff shoulders, heavy sound effect, As well as the curvature on his back being rather still.

honestly the main issue i have is the name of the collection. 3d ALLSTARS. the snes allstars felt like real generational leaps for already ageing classics. just the addition of a save system could have sold it but they took the time to update it to the times standards. the 3d allstars feel more like a pack of roms with slight improvements.

It's a promising start for a first draft. Art style, graphics, animations, sound design and pretty much everything else needs a lot of polish, but it's pretty impressive as fan-WIPs go. This isn’t a first draft. This would be jaw-dropping for a first draft. Based on your comment I’m guessing you don’t know how much time and effort it takes for hobbyists to put out work like this. It’s very impressive for a late draft - which is exactly what it is!

i mean, how incredible is this? im not a huge mario 64 fan even though i am totally of the time to be, i just thought it was a passable game for the time of 3d, but the achievement here alone is so phenomenal, taking a whole game, bypassing the developer and just making it your own. This is a very impressive remake. I really enjoy when someone does something like this, not only working on textures and making sure it runs at 60fps, but the actual details: the water, the grass, the particles, the lighting, the movement of the character actuality looks like and updated version of Mario 64, the "dust" effects, how the entire geometry of the map looks alive and detailed. This is amazing.

Well if you look at the original hub, it was mostly empty apart from toad appearing at a point, it's really the enemies that gave the game life and the level designs giving it charm. So this is fairly accurate to that perspective. Y'know?

@@lol-ih1tl Seeing you say it's SM64DS has stiff bad controls makes me wonder the last time you actually played sm64ds. Because I did yesterday and I can confirm that it's controls are not stiff and that it is not 8-directional like everyone says it is.

That's my problem with fan games, they just throw a bunch of high res assets into a pre built engine (in alot of cases like the Unreal Zelda remake) but the gameplay you can tell it's way off. If the Mario Remakes are indeed real they would probably don't look like this but they'll sure enough play way better than this.

So the thing is: a fan actually did all the hard work for you and developed a remake that looks absolutely authentic and professional in the same Mario style we know from games like galaxy or odyssey and still they are not considering releasing an actual version like this. I mean... HIRE THIS MAN FFS... it is there already. Pay him out and release this beaut... We're all waiting for it. We have always been.

@@monkeygaming2841 3 overpriced ROMs available as a limited release. Galaxy and Sunshine look better on dolphin, and 64 has a PC port which looks and runs way better than the switch port will.

Legendary Aura it just that, today, there are people who can single handedly remake a Nintendo 64 all while improving the graphics, and do so in less than a few months edit: Im not saying graphics as good as the switch, but graphics that are way better than the 64

Seeing the full game remade in this way would have made me so happy. I'm both amazed and heartbroken when watching this now that I know Nintendo will probably never give us a full-on remake with modern graphics and controls 😔

Got to clean up the graphics to make it not "creepy" anymore lol. On a serious note, this is very well done and looks nice.

Me: “Oh look SM64 remade in a new engine/Odyssey HAX, how cool!” ....And it’s gone. Thanks Nintendo!

They had every right to take it down, it’s a game that’s just an HD version of a game they’re still selling (wii u eshop) full of their models and based off of rumours this game is getting a remake already so this would hurt sales, and I’ve seen a few comments on this video that say this is actually a reupload of a video that got taken down a few years ago

@@adnel3173 Nintendo is just greedy in this situation, they just upscaled the textures and literally didn't even bother to make 64 16:9, I actually thought they will make it around 30 - 40 dollars like bruh 64 was only for 10$ on the wii virtual console

@@freezeframeplease I honestly just expected a remaster. But come on the game isn't even running at 1920 X 1080 like the others, it is running at 960 X 720 while docked. And it doesn't even have wide-screen like the others.

It's a great work! I'm just wait till the download is released (if they release it)

This remake mod looks amazing! Next step would be to add PBR textures to give more depth and also add higher texture resolution rendering - Than you Unreal for uploading this type of content

Honestly i just expected the port tbh

I realized that on the frame it says Eternal star instead of L Is Real 2401, Nice detail

This looks amazing. The one thing I really wish you would've done (which I would've also done myself) is to add items in each room to give them a proper function. Like a kitchen, dining room, bathroom, library, cold locker, aquarium, etc. The second floor rooms can all be bedrooms or other things, too! Wish we could've seen the second floor, too. Too bad Nintendo is too lazy to do a proper remake to Super Mario 64. I mean, it's only been 27 years or so...

I loved the whole design inside the castle
