yeah bljs arnt in m64 ds, they patched it in the shindou version of mario 64 in 1997 so i would assume they wouldnt leave it in the ds version

It's not hard at all. in fact, it's probably the easiest glitch in the game to preform, just hold z, move backwards against something (do note that not all places work) and mash the fuck out of the A button.
