Super Low Tide Jones Beach West End 2 Jetty
Nothing going on fishing wise but I wanted to share one of the super low tides we get sometimes. The begging of the video is from last Friday on the higher water. Its been getting some big smackers from the east and the water was even bigger today, please be very carefull out there! Water has so much structure it is unbelievable. I am on the west side of the jetty. From facing west there are nice big crashing waves on the tip corner of the jetty, in front is a calm gut and a bar straight out that the waves crest over. There is a bit of a flat and a lip with another gut or pool to my right with some good deep water.. The structure is literally amazing with the potential to toss bait and hold gamefish all up and down its structures. It forms what I would call several tremendous eddy's. If you can ever get down at these tides you can get a good grasp where everything is. Although it does change almost everyday.the spine of the structure is always there. Too bad it was not holding any fish late this afternoon and early evening, I did fish it pretty hard. Thanks for viewing and hopefully some fish will move in soon!

+Schy Mark Thanks as always! It was fun to fish it so low, THE ANGLES I HAD OWHILE CASTING N THE STRUCTURE WAS ENOUGH TO KEEP ME GOING!!! thanks as always! Had some reports of blues around so they must be trickling in and some big were being caught but I haven’t seen anyone catch one or land one with my own eyes. Thanks as always! I will do my best Mark!
Jerry, what length and action rod do you like to throw your minnows on?

Kinda like medium give it a chance to dig in set and hook but use em with all in between but med to med/fast would be my first choice
Great report FJB your so right I was able to fish that low tide on Sunday looked so fishable but we both know thats not allways true !!!!

Nice vid. It's gonna be very difficult fishing this week with the tropical storm coming up the east coast. Not sure how much fishing I'm gonna be able to do.

+x087772 No all moon tides it depends on the position of the moon in the sky and the draw it has. You can check the website www.fisjonesbeach.com and on the right has a moon and tides section so you can gauge how everything will be. Thanks as always!

+Kwan Ro yea, it was pretty wild. You could of stood by the tip and fish that breaking wave from the sand like a beach! The east side was being pounded during the low and was even too dangerous to fish. There was a huge patch of blues off shore I wonder if the pushed in the evening?
