Right though! I'm trying to grow mine out it's getting pretty long but I keep noticing a little damage and breakage here and there and I'm like trying so hard! No harsh shampoos or chemicals no heat styling ever I always wear a protective style sleep with a silk cap boar bristle brush frequent trims I mean everything and when I see breakage I get so frustrated like ughh how!?!? I wonder if she has a video on her hair care routine bc I need to know!

@@daniboo0762 Just remember that you're never the only one taking great care of your hair and not getting the results you want. It's genetic lottery. We tend to not notice those among us with average traits, but instead focus on that one individual that seems to have it perfect and wonder why we aren't like them, too. So yeah, I feel you, but I constantly have to remind myself to stop, admire and move on. I'm sure we all posess a trait that someone else is jealous off, but we don't notice it.

(Cosmetologist here) Despite the fact it sounds counterproductive, getting regular trims to keep the ends from splitting is super important (1/4" off every 2 to 3 months is perfect). Once the ends start splitting, your hair won't grow past that point in a healthy way because it's too fragile and will break easily. Hair also needs a balance of moisture and protein to keep it healthy.

You're probably a curly or wavy haired lady like me yes? Please just blow-dry with protector gadget on the blow dryer & a decent amount of leave-on conditioner, but not too much conditioner & not too much blowdrying!! Then you'll have beautiful waves or curls & the straight-haired girls will envy you! And no more poofy mushroom hair! Good luck!

As someone with lifelong shoulder problems -I am genuinely amazed by how you can do your hair. I wish I could, but I can barely hold my arms up long enough to put my hair in a topknot anymore Also, you are gorgeous -I’m mean that in the most respectful way, too

Hey Honey. I lost use of my shoulder, and then after surgery, it took a year to recover. I also went with a top-knot. To make it even possible I discovered it could be done by dropping my head down to my knees. I do it standing but not always. In case it helps. It helped me to let gravity do the work.

Same, I used to love doing different stuff with my hair, but since I had frozen shoulder in both during lockdown I still have to wash my hair upside down and throw it into a high pony or bun upside down, I'd love to be able to braid it again

While I think you have a point @Romantic1869 I will not agree with that word curse. Diagnosis shoulder impingement after 3 piece broken shoulder and 3 fingers at approx 45% diagnosis so I understand what you are talking about but GOD is ABSOLUTELY GOOD regardless I fake it with my baby fine now thick waist length red hair w white gray and silver grey natural highlights.😅

Yes! My daughter didn't want to shave her pits and I asked me why. I could think of one medical or hygienic answer so I took her cue and with both rock a hairy underarm.

@@Kira_Martel 🥺 thank you so much. I just think between the darkness little texture that it's kinda lost. It's not quite black but very close. Since it's thick and long, luckily the weight of it pulling on itself gives it more waves than curls. But she has given me lots of ideas about hair jewelry or ribbons and stuff that can make it stand out more, that's why I love this channel. I'd love to try the hair rings, probably in silver but they look so cool!

I love the fact that you used a 2 cellos track for this. As someone who played cello for the better part of a decade I can say PREACH!! Holding your arms in an active position (up for your hair and at shoulder hight/ out to the side for cello) AND making all those tiny movements and adjustments constantly is a serious workout and takes incredible strength. I'm sure dancers, other musicians and more can say we feel you on this!

@@avacadotoast5492 sure... I have lots! I don't wash my hair very often. I use herbal coconut oil for simulating growth. I braid my hair either two ways of one way to reduce mechanical stress. I eat mostly healthy fats and fish. I also take D3 supplements to prevent hair fall. I'm from South India btw so the conditions here might be very different from where you're from. Where are you from?

@@avacadotoast5492 yes. Well i take the healthiest, most bioavailable form of collagen which is just Gelatin. I make a jello with whatever fruit juice is handy and bring it to a simmer and add gelatin- let it set and eat it like dessert. Don't waste money on tablets. Making things is healthier and easier. I would say a protien and healthy fat rich diet is better for hair quality and growth. I try to cut out sugars except in the form of fruits as well. If you want to reach out, I'd be happy to help :)

Right though! I'm trying to grow mine out it's getting pretty long but I keep noticing a little damage and breakage here and there and I'm like trying so hard! No harsh shampoos or chemicals no heat styling ever I always wear a protective style sleep with a silk cap boar bristle brush frequent trims I mean everything and when I see breakage I get so frustrated like ughh how!?!? I wonder if she has a video on her hair care routine bc I need to know!

@@daniboo0762 Just remember that you're never the only one taking great care of your hair and not getting the results you want. It's genetic lottery. We tend to not notice those among us with average traits, but instead focus on that one individual that seems to have it perfect and wonder why we aren't like them, too. So yeah, I feel you, but I constantly have to remind myself to stop, admire and move on. I'm sure we all posess a trait that someone else is jealous off, but we don't notice it.

(Cosmetologist here) Despite the fact it sounds counterproductive, getting regular trims to keep the ends from splitting is super important (1/4" off every 2 to 3 months is perfect). Once the ends start splitting, your hair won't grow past that point in a healthy way because it's too fragile and will break easily. Hair also needs a balance of moisture and protein to keep it healthy.

You're probably a curly or wavy haired lady like me yes? Please just blow-dry with protector gadget on the blow dryer & a decent amount of leave-on conditioner, but not too much conditioner & not too much blowdrying!! Then you'll have beautiful waves or curls & the straight-haired girls will envy you! And no more poofy mushroom hair! Good luck!

Hey Honey. I lost use of my shoulder, and then after surgery, it took a year to recover. I also went with a top-knot. To make it even possible I discovered it could be done by dropping my head down to my knees. I do it standing but not always. In case it helps. It helped me to let gravity do the work.

Same, I used to love doing different stuff with my hair, but since I had frozen shoulder in both during lockdown I still have to wash my hair upside down and throw it into a high pony or bun upside down, I'd love to be able to braid it again

While I think you have a point @Romantic1869 I will not agree with that word curse. Diagnosis shoulder impingement after 3 piece broken shoulder and 3 fingers at approx 45% diagnosis so I understand what you are talking about but GOD is ABSOLUTELY GOOD regardless I fake it with my baby fine now thick waist length red hair w white gray and silver grey natural highlights.😅

Yes! My daughter didn't want to shave her pits and I asked me why. I could think of one medical or hygienic answer so I took her cue and with both rock a hairy underarm.

@@Kira_Martel 🥺 thank you so much. I just think between the darkness little texture that it's kinda lost. It's not quite black but very close. Since it's thick and long, luckily the weight of it pulling on itself gives it more waves than curls. But she has given me lots of ideas about hair jewelry or ribbons and stuff that can make it stand out more, that's why I love this channel. I'd love to try the hair rings, probably in silver but they look so cool!

I love the fact that you used a 2 cellos track for this. As someone who played cello for the better part of a decade I can say PREACH!! Holding your arms in an active position (up for your hair and at shoulder hight/ out to the side for cello) AND making all those tiny movements and adjustments constantly is a serious workout and takes incredible strength. I'm sure dancers, other musicians and more can say we feel you on this!

@@avacadotoast5492 sure... I have lots! I don't wash my hair very often. I use herbal coconut oil for simulating growth. I braid my hair either two ways of one way to reduce mechanical stress. I eat mostly healthy fats and fish. I also take D3 supplements to prevent hair fall. I'm from South India btw so the conditions here might be very different from where you're from. Where are you from?

@@avacadotoast5492 yes. Well i take the healthiest, most bioavailable form of collagen which is just Gelatin. I make a jello with whatever fruit juice is handy and bring it to a simmer and add gelatin- let it set and eat it like dessert. Don't waste money on tablets. Making things is healthier and easier. I would say a protien and healthy fat rich diet is better for hair quality and growth. I try to cut out sugars except in the form of fruits as well. If you want to reach out, I'd be happy to help :)
