Super Laundry Sauce Recipe and Instructions! (Concentrated)

Super Laundry Sauce concentrate recipe and instructions. Sorry if the video is a bit shaky. This homemade detergent is supposed to get out just about every stain imaginable. But you can be the judge of that and try it out for yourself! From my experience with it, I would say it works way better than Tide and it will only cost you about $1.76 for 128 loads of laundry!!! I have 6 kids in the house and I do laundry just about every day and this saves me a ton of money! You can't beat that!
Mom's Super Laundry Sauce Whipped Laundry Concentrate Recipe:
This makes 1/2 Gallon of concentrate!
That's a full 128 loads of laundry!
1 bar Fels Naptha (The ENTIRE Bar!)
1 cup 20 Mule Team Borax
1 cup Arm & Hammer Washing Soda (NOT BAKING SODA!)
4 cups of hot water

Make it easier on yourself and use the food processor to grate your bar of soap, do several at a time, store in sandwich bags already grated and ready for when you want to make up a batch. Also buy a used bread machine and put the water and grated soap in on the dough cycle and that works very well then continue on. I do not dilute my mixture and just add half of the amount usually called for in my washers.. I paid five dollars for my bread machine I use just for making laundry soap. I have been making my own for many, many years. I am 82. Sue in Central Indiana

Just a tip, after I blend the dry soap into a powder I add a cpl tablespoons of borax then blend again while adding 2 cups of boiling water. It melts it and blends it into a cream so you can add that to the boiling water and it won't clump up.

This is a great video....I make mine with laundry bars I make myself, or with Zote or Fels if Im waiting on soap to cure. i just wanted to say, blenders are pretty cheap now. so please if you use a blender to make this, forget about using it for anything besides soaps. particles from the soaps you cant easily see can make you terribly ill. just grab another blender from walmart, target, amazon, even try Goodwill if you wanna be super budget mindful.🌹

I agree that this is a wonderful video. I too have shopped Goodwill et cetera for second hand stuff to save money, but you can also put the soap in the microwave. It crumbles very readily after nuking! I also make my own soap from scratch and love using my own laundry detergent. I have used Zote and Fels and hands down, Fels is better.

If you will not heat the grated Fels Naptha on the stove (only the water), THEN continue to heat the soap & water, it will dissolve much faster. Heating the grated soap makes it melt, causing it to clump, which takes longer to dissolve in the water. This way is SOOOO much better than making 10 gallons that you have to store (or give away). 😀👍

Cause u have to make sure u stir it good the next day u add another hot water and stir. Make sure u have a good stick blender. I bought a paint mixer attachment to a drill. Then u are ready. Mine is creamy sauce no separation what so ever. U have to make sure that the powder were super melted.

I make this in dry form and I add Purex fresh spring waters laundry enhancer to my recipe. I add 1/2 scoop oxyclean separate. Using the Purex crystals works quite well. Using the dry form, I take my tbsp full and I dissolve in a cup before adding to my washer. I do have the largest washer available, so I will use 2 tbsp on the big loads. The new washers are 3x's bigger then what they use to be and the lid locks as soon as the load starts. I use this recipe because it works the best of all the laundry detergents out there. This gets my clothes clean and I have to say I do love the Purex Spring fresh crystals. I've been washing my clothes this way for quite a while now and I wouldn't ever use anything else. I have 5 extra fels naphtha bars and 2 boxes each of the washing soda, the borax on hand and 2 big bottles of Purex laundry enhancer. It will be a while before I run out. I store mine in an ice cream pail covered with the cup on top.

So you can’t add oxy clean or say biz to the borax and washing soda mix and add it all to the fels on the stove for an extra whitening boost?? Just curious bcuz I’m a firm believer in my oxy clean or biz I use oxy clean one week then I’ll use biz the next I like to alternate between the two! I’ve done my laundry like this so long I can notice immediately when neither is used oxy clean and or biz is a game changer in keeping your clothes bright and your whites stay white like the day you bought them!!!! Especially on socks!! My husbands socks and clothes get really dirty in his line of work and I’m here to tell you doesn’t matter the stain or how dirty his socks get he can come home with socks that look like he’s been jumping in mudd puddles all day FYI he loves his job we own a construction company and also a painting company and he will a lot of times work in the rain in reason they get really dirty sometimes. and most would think these need to hit the trash no way these are coming clean!! Psst one wash no messy bleach just oxy or biz with my already homemade laundry powder and they come out of the wash like I just bought them sparkling whites and bright colors I wash his clothes separately so on his load of works clothes and socks I do add more than 2 table spoons like homemade powder calls for I use half a cup of homemade powder and half cup oxy or biz sometimes I get alittle extra and add oxy and biz making it a full cup of oxy biz mix when it’s really needed and I’m telling y’all once you really start adding oxy or biz to your laundry routine you will have to have it lol 😂 it’s an addiction I’ve seen many videos of people saying the off brand oxy works the same absolutely not tried it and the husband says did you change something in my laundry my clothes are starting to have a smell and my socks are starting to look slightly dirty 😂😂 so he caught me using the off brand from dollar tree!! Now the awesome orange oxy does work really good on my clothes and kids but it’s not for really dirty work clothing!! After a week or so of using oxy orange on work clothes you can slowly watch the socks become dingy and clothes start looking dull!!! And a musky smell will build up!!! I had to re wash all his work clothes but with one wash adding half cup of my homemade laundry powder and full cup of oxy biz mix all into the drum do not add all that powder mix to your tray throw in the bottom of the drum in cold or hot water both work fine you’ll see all the nasty that built up in just one week how crazy is that water was a dark brown and you could literally see the nasty film that had built up in just a week 🤮🤮 I had to use who can guess oxy clean 1 full cup and 1 full cup of pure baking soda mix and set my washer to clean mode FYI it also cleans your machine and Deodorized it it’s really a multi use product!!! Ever cleaned your toilet and tubs with the oxy and pure baking soda half and half making a full cup but make sure to mix it together and man does it do the job I sprinkle it in the toilet and tubs and sinks let sit 10 minutes then wipe tub an sinks down and swish the toilet with your toilet brush rinse and your bathroom will smell so fresh an clean and your tub an sinks and toilet will shine and if you have white sinks and tubs they will look brand new again!! I have so many different cleaning tips with just oxy and baking soda you’ll never need to buy cleaner all the time! Saves money as well don’t get me started in tile floors and your grout another tip use same mix but make a past for your grout and oh my Lort you will thank me later!! Okay I’m done preaching about the many uses of oxy or biz!!! 😂 and baking soda mix but I wanted to share bcuz it’s one hell of a cleaner I’ve yet to find anything close to how well that mix cleans and freshens your house!!! But just one more really important part of cleaning is your mattress you can’t wash them right?! Well tip for that sprinkle pure baking soda the one on the laundry isle all over all your striped beds meaning no bedding just mattresses this can be done on any style mattress!!! Sprinkle a good amount all over the mattress let sit for 35 minutes to an hour I recommend the full hour bcuz it’s gonna pull any Oder and dirt to the surface of your mattress so waiting the full hour is best take your vacuum then and use attachment and vacuum all the baking soda up along with dirt dust that has settled into the beds if your mattress is older it’s probably never been done and you’ll see the dirt, dust on the surface you will be shocked 😳 and alittle grossed out knowing you’ve been sleeping on top of that you may even smell a musky scent while vacuuming all the baking soda up it’s normal you just pulled all the Oder you never knew was there to the surface of your mattress don’t worry once all baking soda is completely vacuumed up your mattress will smell fresh afterwards!!! Baking soda on laundry isle is 2 bucks for a large box more bang for your buck I forgot to add when Deodorizing your mattress or mattresses go ahead and grab 2 boxes 4 bucks total for over 4 pounds of baking soda depending on size of your bed or beds king use enough to cover entire bed I use about 2 cups full!!! Make sure bed is lightly dusted all over even corners and edges you don’t wanna put a thick layer just enough to cover the bed you can sprinkle bed and rub the baking soda making sure entire bed is lightly dusted so if needed you can also repeat if an oder is still present after vacuum repeat as many times as necessary it will not discolor your mattress I do this to all the beds in the house at least every 3 months and I have a Serta 5,000 dollar Mattress had my new bed about 5 months and did this trick and I was surprised being it was still new that I had dust and dirt coming up that I couldn’t see on the bed but cleaning my vacuum afterwards that was pre cleaned before I started!!!! Yep as you can see I’m a clean freak 😂 but I can’t do nasty knowing your bed has dirt and dust and sometimes older beds will get that old smell that you don’t notice bcuz your nose has become blind to it even worse when you have a ceiling fan above just blowing it into your bedding even if you keep the fan clean there’s still particles in the air settling somewhere??! on your bed just like your dressers what do you wipe off the top of your vanity or dressers when you dust??! Same thing that’s down in your mattress happy cleaning hope my tips help!!!

The first time I heard of this stuff it was a lady whose son worked at a pizzeria and had all kinds of stains and grease because he also did all the prepping and had to deal with a lot of olive oil, tomato product and stuff so she would use this and said that her son's clothes came out clean and fresh smelling. His white apron always stayed White. You could at least use it one time and see how it compares to what you're already doing.

I have not bought detergent in nearly 10 years. We use only this recipe. My husband loves it because this doesn't make him itch like high-perfumed soap. As a variation, I also add 1 cup of powdered all-fabric bleach. I did this because my whites and light colors were getting dingy. Problem solved! I'm making detergent today. Haven't made it in 3 years and it's time to restock. I'll have about 35 jars for myself and always give some away. One day's worth of soap-making that lasts 3 years is quite the bargain!

There's a much easier way to do this without messing up so many dishes. You can make this in regular mouth mason jars and put the blender base on the mouth of the jar. Then put on the blender and turn on to mix like beast. I let the fels-naptha sit in the jars over night to melt first.

Cut 5.5 oz soap bar in half & then into small chunks with knife. Add 1/2 of the soap chunks to two small mouth canning jars. Add a couple of cups of boiling water & wait about an hour for soap to soften. Add 1/2 C Borax + 1/2 C Washing Soda to each jar & fill to the shoulder of jars with more boiling water. Place the blender attachment on the small mouth jar & blend until smooth --- Voila! This eliminates the need for bowls, grater, etc. Here's a link with photos for simplifying this cleaning concoction (: www.keyingredient.com/recipes/904915108/super-laundry-sauce/

dm8867 Nope. By soap you probably are trying to say it’s a surfactant. It’s not. It’s used as a water softener. Precipitates hard water mineral ions like Mg and Ca as borates. To confirm: Dissolve some in water. Add an oil. Shake. Note that the layers separate. The water layer will remain clear. Maybe you’re referring to something like Lava. IDK. I do know there’s a gel type hand cleaner that mechanics use. Still sold. Don’t know the name. You’re probably thinking of that. Maybe called Goop?
