Super Heavy Thermonuclear ICBM MRV 'Hatred'

Ойындар

Time for another insane nuclear test on Kerbin. This time I pushed my computer to breaking point. 87 warheads LOL! Kim Jong Un's wet dream.
Kerbal Space Program 1.2.2 using BD Armory and North Kerbin Dynamics. Also installed are Ferram Aerospace Research, Procedural Fairings, Environmental Visual Enhancements and the Scatterer mod.

    And to think about it, the Tsar Bomba was a single bomb...50Mt, but they had put constraints on it so it won't reach 100Mt because of too great a risk of nuclear fallout and the fact that the bomber dropping the bomb wouldn't have time to escape the blast radius, even though the 50Mt design already had a parachute attached to it to give the bomber more time...just think about that...

    MrCoolguy425 Exploding in the atmosphere, fallout is at a minimum. If it is a ground burst, that is a different story. Be sure to know what you're talking about. If it occurs in the atmosphere, the real problem is ElectroMagnetic Pulse (EMP). All electronics get fried.

  • @TheCyberCrewLD

    @TheCyberCrewLD

    MrCoolguy425 He’s actually right, because a ground burst turns ground material into all sorts of nasty radioactive isotopes of your favorite elements. Meanwhile, the altitude and sheer number of nukes would make a massive pulse wrecking all non-hardened electronics, likely globally.

    While being amazing, this missile would be useless. All the warheads are deployed very close to each other making the destruction area smaller. Then you should have launched it higher, not so close to the atmosphere and finally, release the heaviest warheads sooner, the stage was slowing them down

    Great video. My crazy engineer side went crazy trying to improve the design. All around, everything is good, but could be better. The heat from the lift off of something that big could be detectable anywhere, like a giant "30 min to death!" sign. Ok, they now you fired, they fired theirs, civilization over. But let's try to stop it anyway. From detection of launch, you have an idea of it's posible path and target, and you prepare the only available way to stop with current technology, a "kinetic impact", fancy way of saying "just hit it somehow with something so it lands somewhere else or explodes anyway". But you release like 16 at a time, and could easily launch some decoys with the real bombs, misleading the counter attack. I could keep theorising for long but tl;dr No way to stop it with current technology, mutually assured destruction. gg.

    An early detonation at the edge of the atmosphere would still be catastrophic and cover the planet in fallout

    My largest one consisted of maybe 12 tsar bombs and a kspi warp drive. I called it the Carnate bomb. I was going to make a ship to carry a few to destroy all life in an entire solar system but never got around to it. Now I can't seem to get North kerbin dynamics to function properly and can't go back to it.

    Someone should make a video of this on a smaller scale happening but them watching it from a space station and even better the space station shooting them down or getting blown away from the blast I know this would be a lot to have done but it’d be awesome!

    The warhead exploding early were in fact realistic, though not that many. It would cause an electeo-magnetic pulse, disabling all electric and electronic devices on the ground.

    Imagine having one hundred of these inside another even bigger missile Also who pissed you off enough to drop a literal nova bomb on them (If your wondering what a nova bomb is it is a weapon from halo basically a cluster nuke glued to twenty other cluster nukes Then thrown at any minor nuisance)

    This is very realistic because you're not starting in the daytime, you're starting in the morning because you have to shoot something on the other side of the world.

    Simulating it at normal speed instead of 2x in the atmosphere would have helped with the framerate and physics glitches... that’s why it shows up as yellow arrows instead of green
