@@THEGHOSTEDITS that depends on your battery. the more mAh the longer it lasts. Furthermore, the way you drive it matters also. If you're full throttle the whole time the battery wont last near as long as if you're driving slowly

Kevin, I just love what the RC guys have done with this little cat since this video, awesome, awesome speed records, it is unbelievable how fast these can go with just a few simple modifications. I am definitely getting myself one and putting up my PB videos after I have modded it for high speed runs!

Can imagine the design meeting for this thing..."hey guys we need a cool british word so people will buy this chinese rc" ... "er, headphones?" "YES!"

I purchased one of these years ago after coming across this video. They are inexpensive they are fast and they are tons of fun. They are great cheap fun they come in different body styles and colors so you get one for the whole family. Definitely a thumbs up for this little car. 👍

Those are awesome I have the a959 and 12428 super awesome cars and the best part is when someone is a beginner and your driving your $500 one you can let them drive that and not worry and still have some fun competition great video much love from Placerville ca!!

Great comparison in RC's on a budget, if they make you smile and your having fun why not. I own a VRX Dart MT Brushless its loads of fun for its size.

@@ValFPV nope, mine is upgraded Full carbon metal and on 4 s with 3650 2800kv, 18kg servo and it runs 70mph with foam tires, 62with stock tires

Whats up kev, keep up your vids man 👍 this was my first rc car that I bought last year, I ripped everything out of it and put all new everything in it. I went with gold aluminum for the whole thing. Gold shocks, chassis, a arms, etc. I love it, I took the buggy body off and run a Chevy truck body on it. Running on 3s lipo with upgraded gearing.I wish I could attach a pic to this

I really enjoy watching your videos. I would really like to see you try the LC racing brand. They have a lot to pick from and they’re pretty affordable for what they are. They have a lot of different kinds minis to choose from.

I started my wife and two kids on the a959 and the two of the A979's, I wanted to see who would enjoy it and not be out a bunch of money. They take a beating for the price and are a ton of fun to drive!

Killian Viehmeyer I am sure that comment was targeted at Kevin. I know you exist, but I think it is harder for Kevin, with so many subscribers. Lot’s of good WLToys out there, but personally I have only tried the A979-B, A959-B and A959. Personally I like the A959 the best, but the A959-B is faster.

A bought a WLToys 12423 1/12 scale SC Truck. Love it! Didn't want to fork over a ton of cash to get back into R/C. I used to race on road cars, waaay back in the day with Nitro TC3's. I didn't want to do onroad again, and figured I'd try the offroad stuff...needless to say, I want upgrade to a Traxxas slash now. I got bitten by the RC bug again.

Got a couple of 12423 for my 7 year kid, and a lot of spares. He drives the crap out of them, and so far nothing broke. Money wasted on spares😀. Only things that are week, are the esc and the servo. No water resistance. But both cost me less than a set of wheels for my savage

I really wouldn't get a slash, it's old and there are much better options for the money, I'd rather get an arrma senton 4x4 blx for about 300$ or an arrma senton 6s blx for about 500$ if you want 6s power (and if it doesn't have to be a sct an arrma kraton, talion or outcast)

It runs on 2s Right? Ive got a 70c 4500 mah 2s Lipo ;) but it wont fit Right? (Its a hardcase) Are there spare Batteries for this thing out there?

you could get a full on brushless system in there. hobbywing 60a esc, 5.5t motor 5000kv and a 2000mAh 3 cell. ballistic missile engaged. might have to fit a heli gyro on the steering servo to keep it steady at high speed.

I ordered the 959 B (at least that's what the specs said) but it was an A. I mentioned that and money was refunded... but they let me keep the car. I used that refund to order the 959 B from the same e Bay store. It's been raining here but I got to take it out for one run. It's Insanely fast. The 959 A is super fun and quick, you can control it under full throttle. I have crashed it lots, the only repairs have been one shock that I could have fixed but the rubber seal blew out and I couldn't find it. It's made some bad noises that I fixed with some adjustments to the gear mesh, or just a bend and a twist. The 959 B is fully insane.. it truly is. These cars are more suited to dry, clean roads. I bought both with the drive more combo which comes with 3 batteries. They get hot quickly , they don't like off road (not sealed very well) and yes, shock oil is a must. These cars need some easy to do tweaking but are really fun and budget friendly. I have a set of Drift tires coming for the A and sticky road tires for the B. They need adapters as they are 1/10 scale but overall diameter is close enough to work. It's a fun learning experience. And parts are cheap.

I'm new to the hobby, I just recently bought one of these, previously I only had Nikko's or simillar rc cars back when I was a kid, I really like this car and it's fast but it won't reach the advertidsed 70km/h / 43.50mp/h. I've seen a couple of videos on youtube making it go really fast, what parts should I replace / upgrade / modify to make it go faster? I'm not trying to make it go supersonic or something, 70 or 80 mp/h would be more than enough. What can be damaged if I use this car with a 3s lipo battery without any upgrades? Thanks!

Get an electric rally monster rc truck. I have the nitro version and it's a blast! I've jumped it a few times. Only had to replace a front dog bone and replace rear diff gears (since it wasn't shimmed right from the factory) but all in all, it's pretty fun!

i had i bad experience with the a959 (Brushed) the shock towers broke the diffs gears broke and the drive shaft snapped and all i did was drive it up and down my streets for a couple of days no jumps or anything. Maybe i got a faulty one any way im thinkin of getting either the Wltoys 124019 or the 144001 which one do you think im pretty new to the hobby Thanks Kev.
