For now, having a pattern channel, I limit myself to inventing them. However, it could be an idea for the future. 😊

Thanks a lot! 🙏 🥰 I worked 1 row of double crochet and 1 row of single crochet stitches to represent the project you would be applying the edging to. 😊

Is there an example piece of how to actually do a shell stitch border all around for blankets?, please and thanks.

How would you work the corners on the double and single crochet rows to make sure the scallop stitches line up right? I'm going to use this border pattern around a granny square blanket but am not quite sure how to build up those corners on the two rows before the scallops. I'm excited to try this pattern out!

If you follow the multiples required by this border, you shouldn't need to do anything special for the corners. Just continue working the pattern as usual. You could also consider making the border separately and then sewing it around the blanket. 😊 Happy crocheting! 🌸 🙋🏻‍♀️

I've made my blanket and would love to use this border to finish it off, however, I wonder if it will be as easy to turn the corner as you have said below to others who have asked the same thing. What if the border doesn't end so neatly at the corner?

Well, this border works in multiples of 6, so it depends on your blanket. You can work 2 shell stitches, one next to the other, for example. 😊

You just need to follow the pattern, working the shell in the middle of the corner. 😉
