Hi shady, I recently discovered your channel AND ABSOLUTELY FELL IN LOVE. You made me play hearthstone much more frequently and arguably made me better than my friends (main motivator) keep the good vids up man, they're really entertaining!

So, funnily enough, Deep Blues is one of the if not THE only thing where playing the Golden Version before the non golden versions makes it way stronger. If you play Normal, Normal, Gold, you gain +2/+3/+5. Whereas going Gold/Normal/Normal you gain +3/+4/+5. It's a tiny difference, but it's something I noticed when watching Shady play it in the first order.

Nope, gold last is 2, 3, 8. Gold first is 4, 3, 4. Gold scales twice as hard as normal from the amount played but doesn’t increase the stats by a different amount than normal so there is never a reason to play it before normal. The only confusing part about deep blues for normal vs gold is that 2 normals will give +1/+1 compared to a gold and will scale the number played more so holding onto 2 normal longer means when you eventually get it the gold version would give larger stats than if you got it right away

Mistakes were made. Keep it in the shop the whole game!!

Tell me if I am wrong, but since deep blue scales with how many you've played, isn't keeping 2 non golden way better for long term stats compared to getting a golden one ?

Golden scales +2/+2, normal ones scale +1/+1 so it doesnt matter

Yes, you are correct. It's about the speed of scaling. The same logic that golden Zesty is better than golden Crooner, even though it's the same stats.

The first non golden is 1/1 if you play a golden second it’ll be 4/4. I’m not sure where the math makes it better, but for board space and the triple reward it seems ok to golden asap.
