I just watched the first 5 minutes of the video. I already really like the concept: 1. selling animals as living creatures, not as a gimmick 2. giving them space I'm from Germany and here it is forbidden by law to keep snakes (except for juveniles) in racks. The minimum amount of space for an adult sanke is his body lengs 1x0,5x0,5 (lxhxw) so a 4 foot snake needs a 4 by 2 by 2 enclosure. That reduces the number of animals you can keep, but you can enjoy them way more than stuffed into small boxes.

Hey men I live in Belgium. Here we're only allowed to keep 147 snake species. The biggest snake we can keep or BCI and BCC. So no burms or retics. What's the law in Germany? Btw I have a male aberrant cali king that's 4months young. He's a sweethart and also very curious.👍🐍

I've handled two baby retics at my local reptile shop, unaware of the negative reputation they sometimes carry. Also a 25 foot old lady at a zoo workshop - so tame that toddlers could stroke her head and nose! I thought they were all wonderful - very personable, curious and very easy to handle (babies not giant one! 😉) once you've earned their trust. They are super intelligent animals and in looks they are the definitive Jungle Book snake. They look 'velvety'. Definitely misunderstood and very, very special. Super Dwarfs are on my dream wish list - but how on earth do you choose between all those amazing morphs? 🤔 (think those super tigers might win though, wow). Thanks Dav and Garrett for showing us some of these gorgeous snakes 🤗🐍 More videos together please - how about a joint trip to some of those islands to see them in the wild? 👍 PS - you need one of those tiny homes on wheels, with a whole interior wall converted into tanks so you can take your animals travelling with you Dav! (well at least around the US!)

While I’m not really a selective breeding enthusiast, I think the care he gives his animals is as good as it can be given the size of his collection and the space he has. I also really care about my snakes temperament and want them accustomed to handling before they’re sold. Now that said I understand that I can do this because I have a much smaller operation, not knocking the more experienced guys doing it differently than me.. it’s just how I am choosing to do things. Would give an arm and a leg well not literally to have one of these. l am a carpet python person and yes l love the active, curious snakes that love nothing more then to come out and climb aroung. If only l could, smart pythons that l would love to work with. Great video Dav and love Garrett and seeing his SDs. Could sit and look at his retics all day. l would have anyone one of them no favorite for me they are all beautiful.

Reticulated pythons are amazing. I've had several mainland ones that were almost 20 feet long and a couple that were 15 and 16 feet. They were my gentle giants.
