All the money has to go in on that river. If we're beat by a higher straight flush, so be it

You heard him say he check called all streets until the river right? So what hand is going to call a 4 bet shove on river given this line? 55 or Jc10c. Why wouldn't a set in a 4 way pot at any point not raise? So person with bottom straight flush can almost eliminate being called by flushes and full houses don't really exist often enough.

"In the main event, not a terrible thing." He's not wrong. Flatting there isn't terrible. It's so bad that 'terrible' doesn't do it justice. We need to create a new word in the English language to describe how bad that flat call is.

@@lgfuad6804 What does the structure have to do with this specific hand? Not to mention this is midway through day 2 where the average stack has fallen well below 300 BBs.

I understand playing tight at the Main event when so deep stacked, but that is a disgusting call on a paired board with potential full houses

It is but think on what can really calls in this spot. Jc10c raises. Ac, 99 folds. QQ maybe folds and 55 calls.

Getting 3bet after a check/raising there wouldn't be enjoyable, even with QQ. Even a fish isn't going to re-raise with just the Ac there so it's always a full house or better, and the only full house that makes sense that you beat is 99. You would see 55 or one of the two straight flush combos pretty often imo.

@@anatolytsinker5317 I play plenty, you? Most people rarely even raise the river as a bluff. A river 3b after facing a check raise would be super strong. I’d say the fact that the guy flatted with a straight flush sorta proves my point. How wide do you think he’s shoving there?

Not really that egregious. What is going to call the shove jc10c or 55. Given the dynamic of this tournament QQ's most likely folds on day 2. This isn't a $1200 daily.
