A small ferry service between the low income housing and the industrial port would be nice. Some way for the workers to go to work other than by car

As you said that tunnels won't allow cycles to pass by, you can actually make a little cycle pathway that connects from one end to the other over the mountain, would be a lovely space to cycle through and thus it'll connect nicely as well...😄😄

I think a small boardwalk area and a seedy motel by the beach would be welcome, with some quiet suburbs behind/nearby. The whole area around the transit hub and along the beach strikes me as an old fishing village that used to be a small but vibrant tourist destination, but experienced a decline in visitors after the steelworks and harbour were built.

I love all of the connectivity in this area with the unique assets. It's a very nice compliment to the cargo port across the bay.

Ive recently realized the ridiculous power of having walkable areas and having them in between 2 forms of public transport. It is ridiculously satisfying to watch people walk in between the 2 in basically mobs. I could legit sit there and watch it all day long 😂

This came together really nicely. The beach could be a wild beach nature reserve type thing? Only bit of the build I didn’t really like was the train track crossing over that main road. Would be better as a tunnel/bridge. Cargo airport sounds like a good idea too.

Hey egg . you should definitely upgrade that four lane tunnel in the mountains to the four lane industrial road. Because it has a ventilation system.

Can those stations be connected by paths at the back? If so then a trip between them under that apron might increase pedestrian traffic through your monument.

I am falling in love with this area of the city 😍. Would love to see the area by the tunnel turned into a San Fran suburb with a zoo and nightlife! If you can’t fit a cargo airport in maybe a aviation club as a substitute if you really want the airport look! What about a fishing harbour where the beach is located atm with sewage services etc! Keep up the amazing work!!!!

Yayy, another episode right as I'm about to have lunch! :D Commenting right as I'm starting to watch: another idea I'd like to offer is to include the shipyard factory - I always have trouble including it in my cities, but imo it would sit super nicely next to the giant cargo hub. Sorry if you\anyone mentioned it already and I missed it or if it comes up later in the video.

I would leave the beach to be scrubby and windswept. Maybe some hints of former industrial action but mostly removed now. A few lamps and a dirt track. Or maybe terraform an old boat ramp. Like the urban beautification budget of an old industrial area just ran out before it got that far.

38:33 About your "cycle highway": Not only can cyclists not use the tunnel, *when they **_would_** arrive at the transport hub, they couldn't continue either.* So your cycle highway is a piece of infrastructure without connection on either end. I suggest extending the cycling paths at least to the cruise dock and the stadium, as well as a separate path _over_ the mountain or a dedicated cycling path tunnel in parallel to the road. Your builds are always so beautiful. I'd love to see you implementing the good biking infrastructure we don't get in real life.

Regarding the beach front, maybe you could have a night-life themed commercial area. Kind of like what you wanted to do with the waterfront in Two Church, but decided against because it didn’t mesh well with the suburban theme.

Epic transport hub! All that walking p***! I think a cute green cities/posh neighbourhood near the other current unused train station would suit that private bay well. As for the long beach facing the Port maybe super basic/natural detailing with a few nature look outs for the boat enthusiasts 🤷‍♀️

Amazing episode as always OE. Crazy how busy this area has gotten already! All of the people leaving the stadium at 34:27 i could watch that on loop. The view from the valley road was worth the wait.

A breakwater in front of that beach could make it more usable for a local recreation/park space

A ferry service from the workers B&Q buildings over to the cargo harbour/industry could be good though.

Take a look at the Port of Houston. I think you may instantly like the vibe for this area.

Love the build! Imagine getting off the boat and seeing all that colour in front of you. Magic. Along the beach I'd suggest a nightclub strip along with some more medium density housing.

Great video, small suggestion... ...where the railway crosses under the motorway how about some gravel path to represent where the network was more complex in the past. Very common all over the world and a particular feature around transport hubs and industry

if this would be my build, i would build a parking lot and a service statation at the end of the tunnel with the great view of downtown orchid bay. I guess that would fit amazing (sorry for the bad english :D)

really enjoyed this episode! every time i see them (especially as someone from switzerland ^^) i keep thinking that the massive mountains around this area are just screaming for some cable car or mountain trail action. would be really fun seeing you pull that off, especially since i dont think i've ever seen you use cable cars before :o anyways, cant wait for next episode :)

I think a bus connection from the train station at reeces piece to the train station at maz dazzas unfair Funkpark would be valuable. And also a schoolbus from the suburbs in the mountain to the school because the school kids would need to walk a lot and also across a train line.

That beach is perfect for an aquarium extending into the bay.

Always love me a custom transport hub build, this just makes me wish even more for modular transport hubs in CS2. The B&Q helps add some industrial flavor to the area and tie it in with the port across the river. One of the things I think would fit in well with this transport hub is a ferry service that shuttles people back and forth to the cargo harbor. People living in the Orchid Bay Downtown area who work in the harbor would greatly appreciate that connection, since the harbor is very isolated otherwise in terms of public transport! Same goes for the inhabitants of the B&Q in the area. The beachfront could be a good place for some low income housing, trailerparks and the like scattered around with lots of overgrowth and rocks. Maybe even some grimy industrial, like random warehouse yards that time forgot.

For the beachfront at the harbor you should look to Baltimore for inspiration. The city has a tourist area with the aquarium, museums, and restaurants in place of a more traditional tourist “beachfront”. And don’t worry there are plenty of quays.

Love the build so far. Here are a few ideas: How about a curved / angled Beach side small (Bayview Amusement Carnival Park - other side of tracks and highway above beach - create small hill side village (mountain country road vibes) call it Orchid Ridge - Otherwise keep up the wonderful work. Love it as always.

Train police: The sharp join and split out of the new station is a little extreem. It might be nice to have it as single lane for a little while before splitting into the two routes. Alternatively swap the first two route so they cross over Otherwise great video as always, keep them coming and hyped for CS2

You should make a mountain bike trail where that 2-lane + cycling road is to get bikers over the mountain, and detail it with some park assets. Just a suggestion mate, keep up the great work!

I think the Copper Bowl would work nice along the Higway, sort of like the "Allianz Arena" in Munich.

it's kinda fun you said you wanted 4 tracks on the station but you built 8, could have made done with just the one station? anyways the build looks amazing, you really manage to make the areas pop :D

Some fishing industry would go well on that beach in front of the intersection. Also maybe rethink the extent of your bike network. In general this area over the mountains seems too far away for somebody to bike, it's like going out of the city, so some other type of avenue maybe is needed instead of the bike lane

Separated cycle highway park along the waterfront! Have a separate cycle tunnel connected to the cycle network other side of the mountain

The bridges and piers content creator pack has a thinner 3 lane highway option that would look sleeker on the highway bridge over the train tracks!

I don't know if the RoJ stations work the same but it might improve accessibility between the train stations to run a path between them just for the length of the station. Fairly nit picky suggestion but my inner arm-chair city builder won't shut up about it! LOL Also, the long stretch of beachfront area could be a nature preserve with an elevated dirt path right at the water's edge simulating a boardwalk around the bay area.

For the beach, I'd suggest a sea wall, & a kind of promenade..

For the cargo airport you could make the runway cross over the motorway. This would give that layering you love so much and even make your tigth squeeze less squichy. 😂

Feels like the beach at the other train station Area, if you can't get a cargo airport in that's area, a large scale American Football stadium or a University Sports Stadium could work in that area. Your Universities do sponsor College athletes and over by the bay could make a nice collection for them to Reside on GameDay. You got two Universitys, you need to give your pro team a feeder system for MLB, MLS, NFL, NBA and ETC?) Also over beside the Regional airport and Avian Club, the Disaster Response Unit and Military / National Guard base could work. The Disaster Response is Fema, Red Cross and Emergency service. The National Guard is the Military protection for the city and help out when a National Disaster happens. Make a massive campus for them and with there approximately to the Regional Airport, use it at a transport hub for supply and Emergency assetance if a Disaster occurs. Plus a Prison campus could be interesting some were isolated from the areas.

Love your work .. maybe on the beach you can do a castle like St. Micheal in France?

If you lower the terrain under the road to the height you need, then upgrade to a different road type it should upgrade to a perfectly flat bridge rather than having to bump up first

Egg you should build another smaller city centre in the harbour bay and the tall buildings can the the HQ’s of the cargo transportation company and the ore company

I think by that beach it should be like boardwalk gated condos maybe in the lore the water was polluted but do to Activist cleaning up it, and it becomes a place for the ultra rich to live.

If you put a path in the space between the 2 stations (instead of an apron) maybe people could transfer from one station to the other off the back?

Hi, for me the habor hub is not working, no ships are visiting. The other harbor with the monorail. Does work and cruise ships are there. Just not in this new area. Cargo is fine do. Maybe not enough people yet?

Had a thought for the biking dilemma. The tunneled area is a fairly short distance and it's in a bit of a valley. You could either snake a bike path over the top or you could tunnel a biking/walking path along side the other tunnel. I think those options would be fairly reasonable.
