This is the best fox truck conversion I’ve ever seen. For someone like me who is not electrician and not a plumber, but is handy as far as building stuff and doing small things and thinking about doing the van life one of the biggest obstacles I had was some of the self sufficient adaptation no equipment for day-to-day, and you really have cracked the code friend .

I've RV'd a bit, and I also prefer carrying water in containers rather than using tanks. It's easier to find places to fill up when you can take containers to the source. Same with the cartridge toilet - you can empty them easily in a rest stop bathroom. Much better than messing around trying to find places to pump out the holding tank. Also, I rarely used the refrigerator. I fill a big cooler with bags of ice, and it takes most of the week to melt. I throw food in ziploc bags and let them float around in the melting ice water.

Excellent storage space, I think my preference would to be to mount 2 tanks under in the axle area. 1st tank septic, (I hate dona-cures) 2nd would be belly mounted propane, If you carry gas you can buy gas lamps, conversion fridge and freezer and a gas powered impeller generator. Very quite and fuel efficient allowing you enough power for a 9 volt system. My uncle Ron had elephants with the circus, built his LQ in a 50' semi trailer with full possum bellies. 250 gal septic and grey water holding, 250 gal fresh water, 3 slide outs, queen size bed... Whinnies sat sleep 6 but his place Lived 8 people without being cramped. 1st thing he did was a 12" false celing where he hid his wiring water supply, fire arms and safes. Who knows what else. The slide outs all automated including self retracting leveling legs. he had to turn a key 3 times to set them up.

A "cube" van is usually a penske, U-Haul, more of a 16 ft bigger in width and height type of truck. This, what he has, is referred to as a "Spartan body", being a smaller box on a standard wheelbase van chassis, single rear wheel. I have a 12 ft spartan body with a generator rack on the front and rarely have any problems with parking in a normal parking space where there is a curb with grass behind the space for the vans overhang to hang over.

I know you were going for an apartment feel, but getting out of the ‘it has to be like my house’ mentality is the way to go. I’m up for eliminating as much conventional cabinet space, too as rigid cabinets require a large space. I’ll bet you have fooled more than a few park rangers or at least put a doubt in their minds.

This little set up works fine as long as he never comes to the east coast because the fake commercial signage would prohibit him from many parkways. If I were him I would install a second set of hasps to prevent the rear doors from being locked along with a cross bolt locking system so he could lock the rear doors from the inside. I will totally disagree about the dual rear wheels since there area single tire options to take the dual tires. I personally like the stability that dual rear tires provide the vehicle as well as improved trailing capabilities. Besides my knock on the parkway restrictions I generally like the build
