I remember listening to this game on the radio cause I was in a jail in Bogalusa,la which doesn't have t.v. in there I'm from N.O. been a saints fan all my life and so is my family my Grandmaw and my nanny passed away a couple of yrs before and I can remember looking up at the ceiling and asking my Gmaw and nanny to guide them to win and they did lol talk about seeing a grown man cry in jail yes I was in tears. I am watching it today to take my mind off of whats going on in the world today. Stay safe everybody who reads this and stay healthy.

Being a 11 year old at that time and watching my hero Brees lead the saints to our first super bowl win was magical. I will never forget this game.

I still get chills watching Tracy Porter with the biggest play in Saints' history. I was so numb and it felt so surreal that I couldn't even scream. Thank you so much NFL experts and pundits across the country for saying over and over that the Saints didn't stand a chance against the Colts. 31-17 baby!!! WHO DAT!!!

I'll never forget how much we lost our minds watching 1:29:35 live, it was truly legendary moment in time. We didn't even watch the rest of the game, jumped right in the car and went straight to the city. Jumped a curb and parked her under the interstate. Had quite a night

@@MsPrincefamily They were 3-13 in 05. Hired Sean Payton and acquired Drew Brees in 06 and went to the NFC championship game that season. That was the beginning of this 09 Superbowl run.

His certainly was one of the best things to happen for the city of New Orleans. Just 4 years after hurricane Katrina hit, the Saints win the Super Bowl. It really doesn't get any better than that!

@@damikey18 Oh no doubt. Some coaches will take the biggest of risks and call plays to help the team score points to help win them the game. That play call was very risky. Because it could've went the other way. That's the reason I said it wasn't smart but it was gutsy. This is no insult or knock on Sean Payton's coaching ability. He sure was a hell of a great coach. He coached with balls and guts. The Colts coach coached cowardly and too conservatively

Two of the greatest QBs of all time going head-to-head.

As a Louisiana boy who lived in Nola for a while I don’t remember much from my youth but I remember where I was and who I was with the day this game happened. All of south Louisiana erupted after that onside kick, we knew the momentum had shifted to give us the win:)

Since I was born on the day after the Super Bowl in 2000 I've always had Super Bowl birthday parties. I will never forget watching my Saints win this game

Call me whatever you want, but I think the Tracy Porter interception is on the same level as the Steve Gleason “Revival” play. It just sends shivers down my spine every time I see it

That onside kick changed the game IMO.

Saints with their crazy a** plays. Surprised the Colts.

I’m a colts fan but it was nice to see the saints win the super bowl after Katrina

Porter's interception was ICONIC! Imagine intercepting Favre in the NFC Championship and then interception Manning in the Super Bowl!

I wish they would use numbers like they did for SB 50 instead of ancient roman numerals. each SB would be much more recognizable if they used numbers. for example can you remember the numbers for the Elway SBs? early 30's i would guess.

The Colts were the best team in league that year. The fact the Saints did the onside kick proved that to me. Craziest play call I ever saw. Changed that game completely.

This game still hurts my heart! Im a die hard manning fan. Brees' kid helped make me feel better. It was too cute seeing him up there. I was happy for the saints that year. I was so glad to see manning win one more (i know the defensive did most of the work!...but it still counts ha) best of luck to brees, the nfl robbed us of a brees/b rady super bowl 2 years ago. That could have been epic

Didn't notice it at the time because I was too busy going crazy at a SB party, but Phil Simms' commentary was really good.

Still come & watch this before the start of each season. I can remember being in the 6th grade & nobody goin to school in New Orleans, the day after the Saints won the super bowl . We watched the game in the lower 9th as a family & I can still remember my pawpaw so happy, he waited all his life to see the Saints win. Still gives me chills. #WhoDat ⚜️

I remember that super bowl Sunday like it was yesterday, from watching Chris Boomer and company talking about the game around noon, the orange XLIV colors everywhere, then riding my bike outside my house, around 5PM then heading inside before the game comes on. I remember cheering the Saints on with my family, wearing the Mardi Gras beads, it was absolutely my favorite super bowl I’ve ever watched. Being a kid then, watching two legends duke it out, was absolutely a treat to watch. As a Cowboys fan, i absolutely love the Saints. Drew Brees deserved this win so bad, Sean Payton made the gutsiest call in NFL HISTORY that night. so historic.

I've must have watched this victory one hundred times. Who DAT NATION Baby.

When the Saints won. The WHOLE state of Louisiana turned into the 4th of July & New Years. Fireworks everywhere. Cops couldn’t stop it. Most loyal fan base of all time ⚜️

The Red Sea parted and the Saints of God went marching in! Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for Tracy Porter! I was at a friend’s house with family and friends all around me. I was 3 feet from the TV on my knees praying in the Holy Spirit! Right before Tracy caught the pick, the Holy Spirit told me “pick 6”. I yelled out “We are gonna get a pick 6!”, and the next thing I know Tracy is on his way to the end zone! That’s for all you atheists and unbelievers out there! Jesus Christ is God, He is real, He is risen, He is Lord, and He rules! All praise,honor, and glory to you Lord Jesus Christ!!!
