Looking for another monitor to replace the Atimis Shinobi I have. Just added an S5iix and using 1.8x anamorphic and can’t seem to locate what the desqueeze options are for this viltrox. If it supports 1.8x it looks like a great option. Any idea what anamorphic modes it supports?

Bought this monitor and it's not showing whether it is on record or not, there is no red dot or the red marking around the screen to understand its recording or not. That is one of the features I miss on this monitor. If anyone found any fix for this please let me know.

I just got a monitor, I have a question about the work of luts. The monitor distorts colors terribly when using luts, some of them show completely different colors that they should. I compared it with Portkeys PT6 and with what is obtained in the final cut after applying the lut. Does it work poorly with luts for you too?

i have this monitor. I really just needed a 4k option. and it checks that box well. Only thing i dont like is the HDMI on the bottom. but ohter than that. I ordered a larger battery than what came with it. Battery life is lacking some on the standard.

You cant use this if your camera is in 4k60 mode? I always shoot in 60, so this thing is useless?

Just bought this monitor and so far with just playing about with it, it's a solid piece of kit. VERY responsible. Although mine didn't go black when I was in 4k 60, it bumped me down to 1080p 60. For my Canon R6ii users it has dual pixel tracking on the monitor. Have yet to test it on the video side but so far I'm loving it. I hope Viltrox send out an update for 4k 60 because this thing will sell WELLLLL

It doesn't allow or support you to use the cameras LCD, maybe a firmware from Canon or Viltrox themselves can fix that. I would love to use tap to focus when recording. And yes, I can preview but only on the monitor not LCD.

I don't have that problem on my camera. I'm sure you connected the HDMI cable properly but triple check just to make sure. It literally mirrors what you will normally see on the LCD to the monitor.

The key is post-processing your audio. Of anyone's interested, I have a short guideline I always do when voice post-processing. It's very brief but here we go. The first step is gain staging. A good starting point is somewhere around -12dB to -6dB in all situations such as talking normally, loudly or even laughing. Never let the signal clip. You also want some headroom so you can boost and compress it later on. Be mindful of your room noise as well as your preamp noise. If the noise is too loud, turn down the gain and apply boost in post before compression. Secondly, apply some compression. It mostly depends on your voice and how "dynamic" your tone is when speaking. By dynamic, I mean the levels of your voice when you speak. Some people get really loud when they're excited. Some are very quiet when they're ending their sentences and so on. Usually you don't need anything too aggressive. Just let it level your voice out. This is where a lot of the magic happens. The low end in your voice will be boosted and the highs will be pushed down, which equals to compression. You will start to hear the beautiful bass in your voice and the volume difference will be leveled out smoothly. Third, equalizer. Remove the boxy or nasal sounds in the 120-250Hz region (depends on your voice). There's more frequency you can cut. You can find charts and tutorials a lot on the Internet. That's about it. Personally for me, I'd use some noise remover first before compression since my room is always noisy. I highly recommend Clarity Vx. Super cheap and super effective. Some people prefer compression at the end, some like me at the front. It's up to you and your voice.

Did you get no signal bc of the wrong HDMI cable maybe? Ik the monitor outputs only up to 4k30...but doesn't it downscale it when u shoot 4k 60? I'm kinda concernee Thay I can only shoot 4k 30 with my s5 ii 😅

@@dhaaa123 i got the feelworld 5 prox yesterday. When i record in 4k 60, the monitor won't get a signal (only goes up to 4k 30 and apparently doesn't support downsampling.) Apparently it does work with the feelworld lut 7 pro according to another KZreadr. I don't know if subsampling or any other parameters such as color bit rate play a role.

@@dhaaa123 yes exactly, the monitor has to support the same frame rate as your cameras output. E.g you want to shoot 4K 60 with your camera, then the monitor has to also support 4K 60. If you're not going to get a signal... The output of your camera aka. 4K 60 gets downsampled to for 4k 30). Whether you can downsample or not depends on your camera and apparently also in the monitor.
