its not ideal for the bms. running parallel also ups the amps that the pack outputs. to make sure you dont have battery issues. running them separately is ideal. it would allow the bms maintain equal charge across all cells. cheers

@@grandmaster-grouch I think you misunderstood ElTeslaDeGoku's question. If I'm reading this correct they are asking if can hard wire both batteries with a Y connector, but only run one at a time. Basically wire in parallel, but only power on one battery at at time. Effectively achieving the same concept of this video, but not having to disconnect the batteries each time you swap. Just power one off and then power the second battery on.

You can run the power together, but the battery must match 100% . I don't like doing it that way but others have. If you go a bigger motor you may need a bigger V battery, the Z1 is a 36v system, if you go bigger you may need a 48-52v battery

I can’t understand why 73 didn’t do a swap battery for this bike, the default range is so inpractical, I mean yes sell complete bike is better for the company, instead of selling batts, but overall I think they could get more customers. I was thinking to get this bike, but I came from esk8 scene where we have 45-50km ranges and 20-25km it seems like a joke for actual ebike.

Hi Brian, I’ve recently bought a Z1, called a ZG over here in the UK. Enjoyed your video for extending the range. One question; is there a technical reason why you didn’t connect the two batteries in parallel so you don’t need to unplug one and then plug the other in. If they are the same voltage I can’t see why you wouldn’t do that.
