Excellent video and very informative. I have been eyeing up a few things to do some solo on the water fishing as my canoe is far too heavy for me to safely transport solo, so I am reliant on having a fishing buddy with. That’s fine and all but schedules conflict so it limits my time on the water. A SUP board is stable and light enough for me to handle myself while having tons of customization options. My other option would be to get a fishing kayak which runs into the weight issue again as well as cost. We have a very nice inflatable sup board here at work for under 500$ and although it doesn’t have any leash plugs available, I’m sure I can rig up milk crates in a way to suffice. After watching this, I think I’m going to pull the trigger on that

Made by yakattack, 130$, way overpriced. You can make something yourself for about 20 bucks. I used an old Coleman cooler and took top off.

Nick Jones this is a solid board (11’ cross made by BIC SUP). I have used inflatables with the same equipment except for the extra mounted rod holder. The bungee holds the gear box down with rod holders just like it would on a solid board.
