SUNWICH, an indie-pop band from Jakarta, Indonesia, infuses joy and groove into the music scene. The band consists of Aliefia Augustine (vocals), Hafiz Alfaiz and Mahandhika Irsyam (guitars), Raflie Arbiantara (bass), and Rifki Handani (drums). Their name, derived from “Sunday With Chocolate,” reflects their mission to bring happiness through their music. In 2020, they released their debut EP “Storage,” which gained significant traction by being featured in twelve editorial playlists across Asia and earned them the cover of the “Skena Gres” playlist. The single “Twenty” quickly amassed 10,000 streams in just three days and featured in over 2,900 Spotify playlists globally.
Drawing inspiration from artists like Boy Pablo, Wallows, and Requin Chagrin, SUNWICH creates an eclectic sound that appeals to a wide range of listeners, from teenagers to adults worldwide. The band’s diverse musical tastes contribute to their unique, uplifting style, and they are dedicated to continuously making music that spreads joy to their audience.
