The River Walk is situated along the San Antonio River, winding through the heart of downtown San Antonio. It encompasses a network of pedestrian walkways, bridges, and pathways that follow the curves of the river. Visitors can take guided boat tours or cruises along the river, providing a different perspective of the area's architecture, landmarks, and natural beauty. It is lined with numerous restaurants, cafes, and bars, making it a popular destination for dining and socializing. I take a walk at sunset during the golden hour on a busy weekday.

The funny thing is downtown used to flood frequently and the city was going to pave over the whole thing! Thanks to visionaries in the early 20th Century, that didn't happen, but this did! As insane as it may seem, the Alamo, the most sacred place in Texas, was nearly torn down as well. Thankfully San Antonio is filled with the right kind of people.

The River Walk was one of my favorite places to see while I was in San Antonio for my 50th birthday a couple of years ago and I wouldn't mind seeing it again.... The other favorite thing I enjoyed getting to see was The Alamo..... The Alamo I thought was really amazing to see....

As a local it’s hard to enjoy the Riverwalk sometimes because it’s generally packed with tourists and other people everywhere. Looks like you went at a good time, ps I just did my own livestream here the other day talking a bit about the history of it. I work a few minutes from here so I pass by it quite often.

Hello my favorite little hiker! I hope that this winter you will make us nice night walks in the streets of New York or Boston or why not in Kansas City? I hope you still have your electric scooter, it gives very fluid videos and you can admire a lot of landscape! Ah I learned a funny thing: when it snows on the Empire state building, it seems that the snow goes up, it falls but goes back up when you are at the top of the buildingintg.... you should try this this winter and also long hikes on Christmas nights with nocturnal illuminations (par - 3à celsius), you have a lot of courage! Friendships.

Hey AK there is a smaller version of the Riverwalk in the Woodlands area near Houston, it’s quite nice too. Forgot the name of it though lol.
