SUNSET SAILING TOUR | Guanacaste Costa Rica 2022
Sailing. Snorkeling. Sunset. The perfect day.
This afternoon, we were given the opportunity to go on a sunset sailing tour in the Guanacaste Province Costa Rica. We went snorkeling and hiking and got to see dolphins up close and personal next to our boat! It was one of the most incredible days and it simply could not have gone better. Also, we just happened to be on the tour with some of Thomas' brother's closest friends... WHAT A SMALL WORLD!

We met in our freshmen dorm, fell in love training for a marathon 🏃🏻♀️ 🏃🏽, relocated to Texas to work at high adventure camp, got married, relocated to Honest Abe's hometown, & then decided to start a KZread channel about unique date ideas with the ultimate goal of traveling internationally. Still can't believe that we happened to be on the tour with Thomas' brother's best friends.. seriously, such a small world after all. Meeting familiar people in places we least expect is such a fun little surprise and perk when you travel. NOW WE WANT TO KNOW: have you ever bumped into someone from your past while traveling??

Every third trip to an amusement park I tend to randomly find people I know. I’ve seen my high school physics teacher three times at two different parks, people from church or that I’ve seen at work. It’s crazy how predictable the third visit was for a couple years.

Really liked the coffee intro. Never tried banana honey sandwich before. Meed to try it. Growing up I liked egg and ketchup sandwich. Sailing just looks beautiful. Thomas styling the sweat backpack. Those 🐬 were so close. Love the underwater shots. I keep thinking of the movie Open Water and being left behind. Hello Sweet Potato Baby! Rosalie can’t wait to meet you. I am not as brave as you guys are with the drone. Glad you finally got to see so many wildlife.

Peanut butter sandwiches were always a staple when we traveled back home, because the pb didn't need to be refigerated, it was cheap, and you could make the sandwiches anywhere... however, peanut butter is kinda expensive in other countries! And unfortunately, we've had it thrown away by TSA agents (when it was definitely under 3 oz 😬🥴.. but yeah! We really loved how much wildlife we got to see on this excursion - we even saw a few stingrays!

Yeah! We'd love to meet up again some time. We're in Italy right now and it's been so cold along the Mediterranean - we wish we were sailing right now too 😆🥶 And I think sharks are awesome! It always just happened to be Shark Week when our family was on vacation and it was always our favorite thing. Ruth's definitely warming up to deep water, but I think it's still a just a little nerve-wracking for her 😬

I'm hoping she does!!! Both her parents were on swim team with varying levels of success, so we're hoping she continues the legacy!! 😂

Yesss, drone + water = stress!! We were with a friend when his thousand dollar drone crashed into a lake, never to be found again... So yeah, water makes us nervous! 😂
