we were sp lucky to have Ms. Carroll in SUNSET BLVD in Toronto!

The 45 seconds of Diahann Carroll singing AS IF WE NEVER SAID GOODBYE are, hopefully, 45 brilliant seconds in a complete version of this number by the great Carroll. If there is not a film somewhere for she and Rex Smith performing SUNSET BOULEVARD, it is another show business tragedy. What a powerful version of this show the Canadians were lucky to have witnessed.

I worked at this theatre's production of Sunset Blvd. Sure brings back some memories. Thanks for posting!

Love Diahann Carroll and I love Toronto so this evening was a home run❤

In my opinion, Andrew Lloyd Webber's best musical. The brilliant Diahann Carroll gives a tour-de-force performance as the iconic Norma Desmond. Theatrical dynamo Rex Smith is simply phenomenal as ill-fated screenwriter Joe Gillis. The CD of this show is available and well worth purchasing.

Her Norma had such a regal and calm command - something I think only a woman who had been such a trailblazer in show business could have achieved.

@@joshmanfredi2432 Lots of people don't like this show. It only has 3 good songs. Many of the lyrics are awful and it is mostly about scenery.
