Sunrise Photography at Niagara Falls
In this video of landscape photography at Niagara Falls I visit for sunrise, when we're lucky enough to get super light and some great images.

Very enjoyable. I was there in September 1981 and there was hardly anybody around for the hour or so that I was there. How the world has changed!

Ah it's interesting - a number of people have mentioned visiting some time ago. I guess if you look past all the tourism, the Falls themselves are timeless 😊👍
Lovely image at 3:55 where you manage to capture both Canadian and American falls in beautiful light. Gorgeous.

Super vlog David. My first visit to the Falls was in 1969 and I was overwhelmed like you to witness such a powerful natural phenomenon (or should that be phenomena!). In those days you could get a little closer to the actual water and those horrible buildings (hotels) in the background weren't built. Went for several more visits over the years with friends and visiting family including in Winter when much was frozen. Thanks for the memories. Superbly masterful photos David.

Thanks a lot Jack, really appreciate you taking the time to watch and get in touch. I did my best to use compositions minimising the impact of the background buildings and even cloned some out where I could. I guess that sort of thing is inevitable, but in a lot of respects it doesn't detract too much from the epic nature of the Falls themselves and I really enjoyed my visit! 😊👍
You, Rachel Lerch, and Tim Day's Niagara Fall photos are so beautiful! ☺️

@@DGriffGallery You are welcome! ☺️ 🙏
I've heard it said, "if you want to be a better photographer, stand in front of a better subject" and of course I know that's only half truth. Joking apart, I'm pretty new to your channel and I have to say it's quite refreshing to see a down-to-earth, non-pretentious chap who knows his stuff and can put it across in a very interesting and entertaining way without being patronising or preaching to his audience. Your enthusiasm for your photography and for your native land is infectious and it's pushed me to get out about again (within the 5-mile radius, of course). So, thank you for all you do on your Channel, and keep it coming I say. Best regards. PS - looking a lot healthier for the weight loss!

Gosh Hilary, thanks so much for your extremely generous feedback. I really appreciate your support and that you took the time to make contact. Really glad you are enthused to get back out and enjoy life with your camera. Hopefully we'll all be able to travel slightly further before too much longer! 😊👍
I knew you'd love Niagara. The thing I noticed was the windows in the cafe vibrating with the wind from the falls. Loved the sunrise shots but most of all the "Street" one with the 3 arches back lit, lovely!
@DGriffGallery

Cheers Alan - that arches images was a tough exposure to get right with the high dynamic range. And I thought the M4/3 sensor would be really noisy in the darks, but I was very pleased with the result - hence it making the final cut! 😊👍
So nice... I'm so glad you enjoyed yourself, David. That whole Niagara Escarpment, beginning where you were, is stunning scenery. That one photo at 8:22 is absolutely out of the ball park. The Amish black and white photos are perfect. Who am I kidding?? They're all so lovely. Cheers, David.

It's difficult to add any more words besides 'Wow' to Niagra isn't it David? I see that you were blessed with perfect shooting light - and you took full advantage of it. Great work there, stunning images. Thanks for sharing with us.

Wow! You were presented with perfect conditions and of course you took advantage. Well done.👍 I love the horseshoe sunrise shot(s)-just amazing. I have not visited Niagra since I was a child. I think it’s time for a return visit. Cheers, Jeff

Wonderful experience, fabulous footage and add some stunning images - I nearly choked on my tea at the wet dream comment, pmsl. I can't imagine what the sound must be like. You rebel, fence climbing indeed! :) Difficult to pick a fave image but the shot abt 8.18 was a bit special then I saw the one at 10.57...eek, cracking. Seeing a red double decker pass through was a weird experience. Great watch Mr G.

I knew I should've gotten up early when we last visited. This is great stuff! Except the over the fence location, you're crazy! I see you use the Peak Design 10L Sling. I used that before I switched to Olympus when I bought the 5L. How do you manage to fill the whole 10L?
