Nah, they’re just super comfortable around each other enough to be their full selves coz they’ve been close friends for a while.

There’s definitely tension between these guys. The joke said by Gio at 3:58 did not resonate with the rest of them. Look at how Sunny tries to hide his smirk by looking away from the camera and the way Ryder’s attitude changes in that instant

I love how this movie explores social hiearchy amongst teenagers in a non stereotypical way. This is one of the reasons Ruben was my favorite character. While the film wants us to sympathize with Sunny's character, the real outsider is Ruben. It seems like Gio is very much in a similar situation to his character in real life. That's why I'd like to see him in the lead if they were to make a second movie, his character has much to offer and explore. Ultimately, we've all been Ruben at one point. Where you're accepted into a group but are low in the groups social hierachy and are kinda just there..... it's so much more difficult to deal with when you're young. But that's just how life works.

I could NOT stop laughing omg being a kid actor and having to do interviews with each other non stop must get so frustrating ESPECIALLY cause their age ranges like 10 years amongst them that it doesn’t always work and it makes it even funnier

by watching this you can just tell that na-kel holds them together

I really don’t think they hate each other or whatever. I think it might have just been a long ass day for them and they were tired and probably irritated.

I felt bad for the guy, it was hard for him to get a word in with the rest of that group. Plus you can tell that being the oldest one in the group definitely wears on him.

olan looks like he’s completely done w/ this shit. sunny is actually the one who has the most to tell and interact. gio is half time playing with his fingers or looking around. ryder is sleeping and not having this shit half the time and actually paying attention too. all i gotta say is i love them.

Biggest thing I took from Mid90s is that sometimes your parents won’t agree with it and sometimes your skate homies fuck up, but at the end of the day I’m thankful for skateboarding and the family it’s given me and I feel like they’ll be there in the end as they were in the last scene of Mid90s
