Hey, thanks for showing Spanaway Lake! I miss that place! Those cars were similar to what we had when I was very young. Ours had the suicide doors where the back ones opened the opposite way. Love the old cars. I just wanted to tell you that in spite of everything going on with your health right now, those pictures that your hubby took of you were really good! You look amazingly healthy and vibrant in them. Thanks for bringing us along on this sunny day in Spanaway. Bless you.

Thanks, he will be pleased. He just is a little shakey and all the shots were a little out of focus. He used to be pretty good with a camera, but age and poor health have taken their toll. Me too, the old cars were very familiar.

I remember some of those cars. Although my dad was a GM kind of guy back then. But they all sort of look alike. So glad you were able to get out to enjoy that beautiful weather. We have hot and humid here this week. 🙋

It could not be more perfect here right now. The old cars always make me remember back then. My husband told me that not all the old cars were Studebakers, but I was sorry I didn't get a photo of the old two-tone 55 one that was sitting on the other side of the pavilion.

I think we can agree it's nice to get a break from the smoke weve been having so we can have these sunny days, it's not everyday you see a Convoy of Studebakers in a parking lot but I'm glad to see there's still some on the roads.

My grandpa bought one to commemorate his mid-life crisis. He thought he was the ultimate dude. Always makes me smile when I remember how proud he was.

You had a beautiful outing. A gorgeous day. Sun shining bright. Weather was 90+ in NJ. I love old cars. I watch a lot of TCM and seeing vehicles from the 40's and 50's is quite nostalgic.

Glad you had a nice day out. Imagine you dont feel like eating much when having the treatments. Maybe supplement by sipping on some Boost, or any of the protein drinks. Always nice to have a sunny day. I like those old classy cars, and all the room they had inside. Thanks for taking us along. Take care of yourself . 😊💟👍

They keep telling me to add Pedialyte to my regimen. I thought that was for babies. The old cars look like the kind my little brother and I used to jump around in. So much fun.

Feeling so much better now. Been trying to eat and move around and all of this makes it better.

Still praying for you. When I lived in Tacoma, the man I lived with for 10 years his kids lived there spanaway with their mom. I've been to spanaway lake. I've got friends who live in Graham WA & they go there a lot. Thanks

Spanaway Lake is a wonderful asset for the community and has an amazing history which I will get back to one day. We go there often too. My husband has been going there since he was a small child. Thanks for watching, Alice.

PNW Granny, It was really good to see you tonight. Glad you’re feeling somewhat better. Ask your Doctors about Ensure or Boost. You can drink them like milkshakes by adding ice cream, berries and bananas. When I was having stomach trouble a few years ago, I lived on those drinks and different shakes. Continued Prayers and Positive Thoughts for you.

The reason I don't want you to lose weight going through any kind of cancer it messes up your platelets I think I got two or three of them old cars in my garage down at the shop haven't been to in 5 years if they're still there you take care and have that great day thanks for the video

It's hard to follow all the advice and go back to my unhealthy way of eating just to keep my overweight pounds on. I've also been told I may be diabetic and that has complicated things. Guess I'll find out on Friday. Thanks, Lucky.

Around my part of the world, a sunny day is always cause for celebration. All those rainy days in the winter linger in my memory. The cars were a nice surprise. Thanks for watching. Yvonne.

The nutritionist was very informative. It was a good talk. I learned a lot of new things and I am going to have put my weight concerns aside for a while and concentrate on the more important battle I am fighting. She said it was OK to lose as long as I was doing it slowly and only 2 pounds a week tops. Now that I'm eating better I feel better too. They gave me some extra stuff to help with nausea and it is making me very tired and weak, but I'm not feeling too bad so far and my new eating regimen is also going down better. Lots of veggies and fruit mixed with dairy, fats, grains and very little red meat. Chicken and fish are OK. Hope that helps. Everyone is different so yours may not be the same as mine.

He is also being dealt with by his own health care specialist. We are hoping it will be effective for him as well.

You are between a rock and a hard place with the losing weight. lol I guess you don't have the smoke in your area?

I was here, but now the skies are clear again. I spoke to the oncology nutritionist about that and she told me it was more important to eat in a healthy way and not worry about losing some weight as long as I did it slowly. I've been experimenting with some vegetable-based recipes. If I come up with a good one, I'll make a video about it. Chemo makes everything taste bad and only a few things taste OK, so the recipes will not be for everyone.
