Sungai Pelek 夜夜香福州光饼

我们拜访了双溪比力的福州饼师傅,一家三代都秉持着宝贵的匠心传承和延续着这门手艺。我们也用镜头捕捉到了烘培福州饼的步骤,同时也结识了一家三代来自实兆远的福州人来购买光饼。
We were very delighted to track down a traditional Foochow Kompia baker within the state of Selangor (without breaking the interstate travel ban). The owner Mr Teng is such an energetic character and his skills handling the oven was simply a joy to watch. During the shoot, we also met a Foochow family from Sitiwan and had a quick exchange of our different Foochow accents.

    听到David讲你们自己没买到光饼,我不禁笑了下。很有你们的style,都让给别人,客气又斯文。还好有买到其他馅的饼,不然就单程1个半小时去吃意外发现的老板炒粿条了。 还有给电话里的小姐打字幕,用心的来有点好笑 xD

    谢谢你看的那么仔细。的确这一趟去 Sungei Pelek 发生了很多有趣的插曲。但最终是没吃到原味的光饼,留了个小遗憾。可是呀,在接下来的视频(两个星期后,你可以看看)我们还是向老板买了一整箱饼(噗),品尝到了他们家的光饼。但最重要的还是认识了老板这条汉子(哈哈)和双溪比力这个小镇。我们计划mco过后会再回来拍摄寻找当地的福州美食和故事。

    Bake kompia at home!!!!! That would be a challenge too great. Besides I'm a hopeless baker. Being trying during the whole mco last year and failed miserably each time, even at proofing stage.

    Haha i am sure on internet there's plenty recipes. But we don't have the charcoal oven which is very important right.

    That’s not Fuzhou Light cake at all. It’s Malaysian style of Fuzhou Light cake. He.s not Fuzhouness. I’m from Fuzhou and I know exactly what’s the traditional Fuzhou Light cake.

    bit unfair to say they're not fuzhounese. they are but they are also ppl who are born and raised in sarawak. like it or not some things would change slightly according to the localisation.
