As a big time Ford guy and a huge fan of Mavericks, its awesome to see a largely forgotten car get the appreciation it deserves. An small rwd economy car with sports car lines and potential while being a totally vintage design. Marvericks deserve more love than they get.

This brings back good memories. When I was 11, my parents bought a 73 Maverick Grabber, white with orange stripes. My dad added rims and tires, side pipes headers and an intake to the original 302 2bbl automatic that came in it. My mom would drive me to school and I though that was it.

i own a 72 maverick all original 89 thousand miles baby blue. drive it on the weekends. i get stares with disgust.. i love it!

He seems just as chill as he was in the movies lol. Really awesome to see how most of the F&F actors are really involved in the car scene. I've probably watched the Tokyo Drift chase scene like 100 times lol awesome stuff

Sang is really a kind of different person he has a very unique personality which pleases everyone

Always loved the Maverick. Had a 72 brown straight 6 am/fm radio and no ac. Went through college in the early 80s with it... always had a love for them but now technology is there. Will build one one day! Love this look!

Sung's Datsun is my dream car!!!

I stole (my words, not actual) a 1972 Maverick at an auction 3 weeks ago. A factory V8 Maverick, with less than 50,000 miles on it. As I looked at the car the night before the auction, I thought - "This is a one owner car!" I was told the history of the car as we were putting her on the trailer. Technically, she wasn't a one owner, the man's uncle bough the car new, but died shortly thereafter. His mother took over the car and only drove her to town and back, a 7 mile trip. The car was barn kept from 2000 until the estate sale 3 weeks ago. I'm interested in some of the changes made to your car, the taillights, door panels and fender mirrors. Yes, someone else would definitely need to do the drilling, lol. I prefer the high-back buckets instead of the mustang style seats you have. But that's just my preference. I'd really like to get pictures of 'Mabel' to you. I'm very proud of my score!

Cutting the shock towers on these cars is a must. Otherwise it's a pain in the rear end to change spark plugs. Also you can't fit a 351 in without doing it.

Forty years ago, the plugs didn't seem so difficult to change. Last week, I considered pulling the engine. Thanks for the heads up on the 351 conversion tip, a thought I've been tossing around lately.
