20K for his role in Tokyo Drift is wild. I hope he gets mad royalties now. That and I hope he got paid a lot more in the subsequent FF roles.

Bro I'm a 29 year old white dude and he's an icon for me. So many legendary roles. I watched Tokyo drift hundreds of times just because I loved his character. My mom asked me why I was always trying to snack on chips and I said because han is always snacking.

Sung was a pioneer. Now is such a dope time for Asian actors. They’re everywhere in mainstream TV & movies, but it was dudes like Sung that helped kick that door open back in the day.

Dumbfounded, I gotta say. I remember you since the early KZread days and I admit I didn't follow your entire career but I always remembered you and seeing you pop up in my recommendations a lot now with podcasts, guests on other ones, interviews, music, etc I feel I gotta say, much respect for your hustle. You never stopped, huh? You just kept the grind and it's paid off I'm sure more than once for you. Congrats bro. Honestly. Much respect. ❤ Oh yeah and I remember you from even being on JK News and stuff early on. Videos with JK Films too? Man, been so long. I haven't kept up with every channel I did back then. I'd watch every single video certain channels released. I gotta go back and see how everyone's doing nowadays. That's my bad. 15 years went by fast.

Better Luck Tomorrow was such an interesting film bc it was the first time I saw all Asians in a movie doing bad shit. And based on a true story. Been a fan ever since, I could’ve listen to another hour. I would’ve liked to hear more about how he ended up in Georgia? In Hawaii, we all know why we’re here, but in the states i always wonder how Asians end up in like middle America. It’s always interesting to me.

Actually irrespective of races, if u ever notice. Those that is behind the scene r really those that u never really gave much thought about. These r the ppl that got selected from the best mind around the globe. Juz go thru name list of the team members e.g. from ideas to implementations of nuclear weapon etc - although some regretted their creations now. More destructive than good came out from it etc... If used for greater good imagine the values it adds.

3:01 Rather than trying to figure out where you are in the food chain, Wong Fu Productions chose to build their own food pyramid because let's face it, the doors aren't exactly being knocked and certainly with more eyeballs looking else where, it's becoming more of a numbers game than ever. This is why you have streaming platforms just bringing content from overseas because they found that there is an audience for it. Certainly as content and studios mature else where we'll see more of this global proliferation of entertainment landing stateside. Good on him for trying to control his own destiny and not sit back and wait for Hollywood.
