Ok seriously what the hell is the problem with Zack's friend? She acts like he chose to be in a family with financial problems so he would have an excuse to leave. Then when he opts to not sit and mope around and instead help the rivals suck veeeerrrryyyy slightly less than they did before she treats him like freaking Judas. Then the other choir even tries to extend them an olive branch to help save their church and she still bitches and complains. Almost makes me want to root for the narc.

Derek Johns I can agree with your opinion regarding the girl's view on his family situation. I never liked when movie or video game characters treat another character like crap because they're moving due to financial situations as if that person was responsible for the social and economic structure. It's like saying: Mean character: "C'mon, man, I can't believe you're deciding to move after we've been friends for so long!" Main character: "Ummm, I'm not deciding to move. I was just telling you that I have to move because my parents need to move due to our low financial situation..." Mean character: "I'm going to ignore all the rational things coming out of your mouth and insert my own objective views on them to twist this situation into being your fault!" Main character: "Ummm....so we're not really friends because you're not even listening to me and trying to put yourself in my shoes..." Mean character: "You having to move is entirely your fault and I'll never see it any other way though rationally I should." Main character: "..." Mean character: "I HATE YOU!"

My favorite part about the last-minute kiss? All the IMDb comments from religious people that were genuinely _offended_ by the kiss, claiming that the film was promoting bad morals or whatever. To quote The Killers, "It was only a kiss! It was only a kiss!"

@@silverstarlightproductions1292 "This movie was a mistake to show to my children! It contained a closeted gay male, showed students passing notes in church, and revealed pre-marital affection between two underaged adolescents. The children hug, sit close together, and even KISS before - not even marriage - but without even ASKING THEIR PARENTS PERMISSION! I would not let my child watch this unless they were 13 or older, and you can trust them to properly handle this mature content." "My family and I sat down to this film with a bowl of popcorn and high expectations. I couldn't let my children watch the "High School Musical"s films and I was hoping that this film would let them in on the popularity of "High School Musical" AND still promote those family and religious values that my husband and I hold dear. Instead we find characters who are mean to one another and even immoral behavior (the main characters share a pre-marital kiss at the end of the film!)" Two actual quotations from some of the IMDb reviews of this movie.

You ever wonder if there’s a movie out there where they didn’t factor taxes or interest into their debt and because of that they didn’t have enough money to pay it off in time? After all most debts in movies like these seem to always be perfect numbers like ten thousand.

Yeah, it's never "We need $13,489.27 to pay off our debt or else the school/church/whatever will have to close." It's always some huge round number that they have to pay off immediately, they never have to come up with a few thousand to bring their loan payments up to date or something. And even if they win the competition and pay off the debt, what then? Apparently the school's been slowly going under for years, all they've really done is held off closing for a few months.
Their singing is just making more depressed.
