Sunday Ride 4th February 2024 with 11 bikes

The Royal Enfield Riders of Tauranga/Coromandel went for a group ride around the Kaimais.
We met at 10:00 on Sunday 4.February at the Te Puna BP station and 11 motorcycles showed up. We greet a Hond 500, a Triumph Thunderbird 1800 and a 1976 BMW R 900. We went along Poripori Road to SH29, turned into McLaren Falls and had a coffee and a chat at the McLaren Falls Cafe.
From there it went up the Kaimais on SH29 and turned right into the Old Te Aroha Road which goes along the Kaimais to Te Aroha.
Then to Paeroa where the group caught up on slower riders and a "lost" one who had to fill up his tank on the way.
Riding from Paeroa through the wonderful Karangahake Gorge and stopped at the Waikino Tavern where the ride ended.
The Waihi and surrounding area riders left in Waihi and the Tauranga ones went to Tauranga so that everybody had the same km on the clock.
All up a good ride, meeting new people but the group did stretch too far and I couldn't really get a good video of all of us, only at the start and the end.
One of us was still riding in his brandnew Hunter 350 and I was the last one on the ride trying to catch all riders on my camera which did unfortunately not work later on. Hopefully we are better and look more after each other on the next ride. (All of us have mirrors, so use them from time to time)
Next ride the Hunter should be ready to go 100km/h and all will be good.
Thank you all for coming and Ben for his video:
• Is the Meteor 350 Fast...
Hope to see you all again next time
