Hi Emily! Do some dancers like to have their tap shoes built up? Does this make the sound of the taps sound better? Actually I like the idea and the look.. mostly because I’m 4’11” 😂
Hey Emily, I thought I'd let you know that I went to see the national/North American tour of Funny Girl this past weekend. It's the first live musical I've ever seen, and I mostly enjoyed it, especially seeing Capezio listed as a custom shoe provider. I just hope Capezio did some shoes on the Ziegfeld girls' costumes, since they did shoes for the actual Ziegfeld Follies back in the day (and I think that fact is pretty well-known in the dance and theatre community). If they weren't, then that's truly a case of "you had one job" if you ask me. (Of course, I don't necessarily want to find out the answer, but I can't help but be curious.) And while I'm on the subject, I'd like to ask how many shows you've personally done that had custom tap and/or character shoes from Capezio. Glad you got done the things you needed to!
